This is a message for Netherrealm studios if anyone here can actually reach them. The online experience is the worst of any fighting game of this AND past gen. USF4 has better connection than this on my Xbox one. 95% of my games online have 0.5-1 second delay. Unplayable unless I get a friend in the same city

Here's my internet info: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4318727246
Service provided rating ugh

DSL ? wired or wireless

Ive had absolutely no problems with the online, played a few hundred games in ranked alone and have had maybe a handful of laggy matches, granted im on the ps4 version, ive tried the pc version and the lag there is much much worse

If you were playing the pc port i would understand this post... i have the game for ps4 and it runs amazing. I have played a few hundred rounds between koth, versus player and ranked, even is the rooms it is generally lag free. I also play the xb1 version with a few friends at our local game store. Even on the stores 40Mb/s wired, it seems to do just fine. My question to you, is that 52 MB/s wired or wireless?

Posting your bandwidth stats ain't nothing to do with it. It's sloppy work again by NRS based on P2P, as all this is added at the last minute before going gold to the disc pressing. It is us (end users) who suffer and end up being the testers. Ask yourself why there was a day one patch and then another with supposed online fixes. Future improvements may be addressed but not entirely fixed.

It's always the same with them. The game is EPIC but the online kills it.

This seems to be an issue that only people with weak signal strength are having. NRS did great this time around. I keep forgetting though; If it doesn't work, immediately blame the developer for your cheapness in internet selection and refusal to run a wire to your console thats on the other side of the house from your router. "oh, but i have an echo box." STFU and get a wire. It will also help with those "aimbot" uses that keep shooting you on CoD.. (that was also a connection joke)

Gotta say I have not had a bad time online yet... I have full green bars and the people I have played... Some local friends and some across the country that have had full green bars... I don't know what it takes to get that but my Internet is not all that great... I just set it up keep it wired and don't run other shit when I play...

Other than Day -3 online, the connection for me has been really good. Not TTT2 good, but good enough to play my normal style of play without "adjusting for online".

I'm wondering who with a strong wired connection is having problems playing others with strong wired connections. If anyone.

The true tragedy is I can play USF4 with minimal delay so that I'm not dropping 2 frame links. Half the time I can't even connect 214 xx spear with scorpion online. I haven't seen a single green bar connection to ANYBODY as of yet. There's no reason the PC version should be that much worse.

I'm fine with it. But there will always be complaints because of online comparison s to ki other games etc.

Are you playing pc? You can ignore the ping bar. I have had worse games in some green connections than red. It is ping, not connection strength. I have played north of 400 games online. I can count on one hand the number of them that were unplayable. try doing 214 teleport 21 spear. I would bet it is just a timing issue on doing a launcher into a spear instead of canceling into a spear

That's what I meant.. and I can agree the connection bars are pretty much garbage as an indicator. Most of them never show anything at all. 214 spear will never connect. I would just like to play any game without sudden lag spikes. PC isn't filtered by region is it?

I dont know actually. I bought the pc version from cdkeys for $20 just to play with a few steam friends. The game looks amazing. Much better graphics. but you wont play online without shooting yourself in the foot to relieve the pain... Ps4 is what i play on. But again i have played on my friend who owns a local game shops xbox online with a 40Mb/s wired connection and it played just fine. I dont think we hit a bad game all night. This game was made for and boasted for console game play. The pc port (in the perfect world games would be pc ported to console right?) is the inferior online experience until they fix it. Which they will. It was never their target audience. Gamestop didnt even have them available for pc at the midnight launch and for that i am thankful because i would be here agreeing with you if that were the original copy that i bought, i would never have wasted the money on a console version

Thing is not everyone is educated with how networking works. NRS did very little to improve it and there are other threads and users with the know how to back this up.

Of course wired is a must, who doesn't?

Put it this way I'm on a full wired fibre 80/20 line with a 5-7 ping (fastpath) zero crosstalk. Playing a friend with the same product as me 10 mins walk from my house still lags on this game. Run combos, frame data is way off and no way near perfect.

I figured "Hey, my PC has over twice the power of a console. Why would I buy a PS4 when this PC here is faster than it? No way they can **** this up." Unfortunately, I was wrong. I haven't been able to play on a console yet so I can't compare.

I cant imagine why. I play close to your set up from Florida, with my brother in Washington who admits he is using 60/10 wired and it runs just fine. I played and experienced mk9 online... If we cant agree this is a step in the right direction there is something wrong

I think the netkode handles good connections fine enough. Granted, I would much rather it handle even mediocre connections well so I could comfortably go into ranked matches and know my experience will be good- but I can deal with it by limiting myself to searching for good connections in rooms:

I realize for people in sparsely populated areas, this isn't an option, which is why I do wish the netkode was better.

But yeah, the weakness of MKX's netkode isn't that good connections don't result in good gameplay, it's that it doesn't offer what rollback code does- the ability to make even bad connections perfectly playable.

As of now, I've played around 200 matches unranked, and not a single match of ranked, and that's how it will stay.

I've never seen that many green bars online. My ping is always 3 bars but out of the 10 you have here on this screen, 1 or 2 of mine would be green, the rest would be yellow, red and unknown.

not sure how thoroughly johnny cage was tested, but i dont know how some things about him made it through QA.

the two clone stocks have different ranges on db1. (113, db 1 will NOT combo on a crossover if you have 2 stocks. 113, db1 will combo ona crossover if you have 1 stock left, makes no sense.)
clone shadow kick's hitbox goes through the opponent if the opponent throws a projectile at the same time you throw clone shadow kick but he hits you first.
clones dissapear after an xray (shades of bane)

also jankiness in general for johnny cage across all variations - 12, 21, b2 all listed as being mids (second hit for 12 and 21) but whiff on crouchblocking small characters (many characters)

I agree with you 100% I only own a ps4 because it was gifted to me from a friend who is no longer with us. My pc blows consoles out of the water, but games that are ported to pc tend to have issues. Look at CoD, They didnt even release pc information before launch, they were selling a port and they knew it... will you make that mistake again? fool me once shame on you, fool me 5 times GFY! - On that note, this is the first MK to launch on pc alongside console. I have to imagine the learning curve for them is real. Mk9 was ported long after the release hype was gone, and being that console mk9 was the worst online experience i have ever felt, one wouldent expect much for a $5 steam bundled game. The Pc MK x is slightly better than console mk9 in terms of online playablity. Ever so slightly, so so slightly. I have a few good games... but like mk9, expect .5-2.5 second delays. This is all fixable. The netcode is not without hope for pc. It might take a month or two but i am willing to bet, if they dont give up on the pc community, that PC will be where console is now in few months.

It's the first game I've ever bought on release day for PC. Fool me once.. I should let others bug test the released game before buying it next time. Hopefully you're right and it gets better. The game itself is awesome. The online portion, not so much.
