RM Sidthehaze wins That MKX Weekly by That Game Store (23 entrants!)

The dust settles on this weeks action and we find ourselves in the wake of a great experience for our scene. At that game store on thursday evening, over crowded were the halls of tgs. Players and spectators alike piled in around the stream station, in anticipation, as if to watch for something special, an upset, a changing of the guard, a pop off, a single reaction, a moment of weakness, or a show of strength.

23 southern virginians gathered to compete...........in Mortal Kombat!

Fresh off a quick start to MKX as he was with Injustice Mr Aquaman came in on top of the area, sword in hand and the sound of war drums beating. The feeling was not new to the area with nightmares of ares helm on minds. But would this last? Would we see dominance? Would we see return of ghosts? New Blood?

Rather than type out 19 paragraphs that would simply give you eyegasms of enjoyment I will simply give you the results and videos, and you can live the experience yourself!

Great stuff to @SidTheHaze, I have nothing but respect and salt for this man, I'm glad our rivalry picked up right where we left off and gave a huge crowd such a show.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in and i can't wait to see this continue to grow and see players get better and more people tuning in!

I need to tag Kotal players, @xInfra Deadx @UltraDavid @Pnut i know theres a bunch more, I dropped the air takedown but I invented a hit confirmable cancel off the unblockable in the corner.F3, 4 Sword Shake (hold up to cancel), d1 EX air takedown, F1B2 air takedown. Or if they block (which is seeable for days) you can let it rip for the unblockable (not reversable by even reptiles dash, only jumpable/armorable) or you can cancel and react to them jumping out or simply block then attack the neutral all over again only with them cornered

I have so much more but I simply have no time to upload or be a kotal forum monster. TCW took my soul and all.

I'd like to hear about whatever you got. Good plays dood. Armor through that OH low string from sonya next time :)

Yeah I heard that almost all of her strings can be armored, I get a free check if I block right anyway so I just haven't gone through with doing it yet haha. It's the drone that has me pinned, I had chances, missed some things, but I am experimenting with blood god properties to counter drone. But losing armor and mixup is so hard to to T_T haha then spec ops comes back out and oki is free

but after watching it, I know 2 things I need to do more, more sunbeam, and more fake out swings to bait him in

EDIT: also watched your play in texas, great spacing

also another thing. b122 for stuffing wakeups is the best. covers almost all options

lengthy enough to cover delayed WU? Also canceling into df2 keeping you safe and on hit doing really good damage for no reason =O

If you time it right, covers all options except armored wakeups. So in the corner its awesome.
