The Smart Stuff - MKX: Prevent the downfall of the NRS community

Insuperable

My mom tells me I'm pretty
1) Stop complaining about characters being underpowered or overpowered.
- If you're playing casually, there's no point in complaining about who's good or not. You're playing for fun, my man.
- If you're playing competitively/to win, switch characters. There's no point in being a character loyalist if you can't (a) bring your character to its highest level of play, or (b) bring yourself to play characters that will boost you to the top with their tools.

2) Stop blaming the testers for everything.
-There's several posts concerning the Ermac bug saying "ooo who tested this game? What were they doing?" Everyone saw the bug on NRS' live stream and didn't say a word. However, when Kfrog found out how to execute the bug, everyone blamed the testers saying "It's so easy to find. How come they couldn't find it before release?" However, Kfrog found this bug. Literally no one else in the community found this, unless they were hiding it from the public. On average, there's around 1000 people viewing the site. So, 1 out of 1000 people was able to find this bug and share it with the public. How could such an easy finding get by with such great odds?

3) Don't blame the game for poor performances.
-Get good, my man.

Please remember the game's been out for a week or two, depending on whether you got it early or not. Also, there needs to be a 24 hour salt period where if you're super salty about a match/set you lost to some character, you have to calm down and refrain from posting until that 24 hour period expires and you regain your senses. We all need to salt out. That's what Skype is for. Do it in private.

I'm tired of this argument. Casual players need balance as much if not more than competitive players. The latter will just pick up better toolsets, the former, however, are very concerned with viability (I'm not even saying "effectiveness") of those they like.

Everyone saw the bug on NRS' live stream and didn't say a word.
I have also seen health and meter being fully restored instantly for the character that did some funny dance. Sometimes for both. Should've reported that too, right?..

So you're saying the MK9 Kano (knives), Jade (U3), and Injustice Deathstroke nerfs were justified because casual players wanted balance?

You are addressing completely different issue of prioritizing catering to scrubs over character viability. I'm saying that "casuals have fun playing any garbage regardless of balance issues" is a myth, and no, that doesn't mean that casuals need some sort of scrub-friendly "special casual balance", that only means they very much care too.

In literally every pre-Shinnok NRS character introduction stream devs used developer cheat codes to gain health, meter or additional round time. Nobody would bat an eye seeing meter filled for no reason in such an environment.

Get over here!
Seems like the largest complaint thread so far is the one about people complaining about the inputs in the game (particularly bf inputs). I dont personally find it to be a problem but that seems to be the most universal complaint

No no no I was talking about both players talking about characters needing buffs for being underpowered and nerfs for being overpowered, when the game has literally been out for only a week or two. Remember a few days ago when people were saying Sonya wasn't good, and now REO runs through everyone in the ESL tournament with Sonya? Nobody knows who's good or who's bad, but they're calling for balance patches already.
