Combo List - Erron Black Erron Black Combo Thread (Updated 15.05.15)

Df2 in Outlaw has some stupid range. Midscreen after b32u1, nj2 you can go into df2.

You don't even have to dash or run.

ok so I found that in Outlaw variation the "useless" string f22 actually provides a HKD that you can cancel out of (unlike f24) meaning you can set up some nice oki in the corner but also mid screen, I was too bothered to record how you can set up far caltrops and go for sand tackle though, however it does work and it gives full damage from caltrops.

I can see Marksman being his best variation as the game develops if run cancels become a serious thing. If he can combo on hit they must give a decent amount of advantage on block as well.
Any fast reversals actually blow through them pretty easily. The block advantage isn't high enough. That cancel thing only works on b33 on hit.
That combined with the fact that most cancels into db2 can be interrupted on block is also kinda disheartening. Makes the block advantage of that move kinda nil :oops:

f24 absolutely does give a hard kd and absolutely is cancellable. You just need to delay the input ever-so-slightly. Never said f22 was useless either. Just haven't messed with outlaw at all and was talking about general stuff regardless of variation.

Is it? I can get it to work at all. I'll have to test which gives most advantage. Nah by useless I meant that I haven't seen them used at all because they're pretty much awful

f13xxgun cancel, 21122EX db2, f24, 21122xxdbf2 does 38% for one bar
Might be me but the cancels in marksman feel really unrelaiable in a game but it's day 3 maybe i'll get it consistently as you guys do , rn i can actually get the full combo 1/10 , run cancel 21122xxdb2 needs to be done hella quick.

Still good to know.

it gets easier once you get the timing down, i land 21122 pretty consistently after practicing for about an hour

The gun cancels get easier once you get the muscle memory down. It's like F13xx(GunxxRun)xx11b3...... I Hold 1 for gun during the parenthesis and let go of it right after the run

i feel like they should have made the command grab a different input. I keep getting the tarkatan stab on accident and its pissing me off
cant believe im still struggling with that 21122 kombo. My thumbs are not fast enough yet to input this thing consistently. And yes, I wish the grab was definitely a different input as well.

You can actually F13xxgun cancel, 11xxdb2, 2112xxdbf2 for 29%. F13xxgun cancel, 11xxEX bf3 works too
Do you guys have any tips for canceling the rifle and continuing the combo? I tried for a while and it was super inconsistent for me.

Spent the whole afternoon in Gunslinger. Couldn't find anything to link with coin toss other than b2 xxdf1 from mid screen. You may be able to do this link and run combo but I couldn't quite get there because my thumb is starting to blister lol. In the corner are some options after neutral jump 1 or 2, but that's about it for now. There are some neat corner stance combos that I have but the best you can do I've found so far is only using draw stance as an ender.

After experimenting w the gun cancel stuff imma give some tip that is very basic but important... you can buffer the run by doing Block then ff , this makes everything easier for cancels AND for taking advantage of your plus frames ( like d4 hits into run f13 ) and if you mess up your input instead of your character dashing or walking forward like an idiot you get a much safer block.

Kinda getting in the habit of the cancel stuff
 
Hi so im pretty new to this game and i was just wondering what do you mean by ffx db2 and all that stuff? I know what 1234 means but the other ones i dont ?
 
Can anyone help me with normal canceling into a special? I actually have up on Erron Black because I couldn't sand tackle effectively. Every combo I could do (mixture of figuring out myself and watching streams), but I could never stick the ender. Could consistently do a 23-25% combo but would lose 6-8% becuase I couldnt

executed the sand tackle. Having this problem with other characters also. Any tips for normal canceling into special?? Would be greatly appreciated and also is my biggest problem
