so now we gave to worried about MUS, variations mus and counter picks, stage sizes and stage counter picks, AND now interactables lmfao stop this aint rockets science why can people just get it? its not about the damage, if they are unblockable, how much they change the match or how little, yet people keep mentioning those factors IRRELEVANT to the POINT being that in any way shape or form they DO affect the match THAT is the point
People do get that. But the fact that they do affect the match ISN'T a definitive reason as to why they should be turned off.

But I didn't want to dash
3 choices and we need to pick...

Leave them off, leave them on or let it ride for a bit before we make a decision. I understand the whole advantage aspect but we need a decision... I say see how it gies, if it makes the game worse then change it. I have no idea how the shit will play out So I'm not trying to make a final decision on them atm.

those are 3d games........that have been the way the are since the beginning of time.
They haven't, especially Tekken where Walls were introduced in T4, Breakable Floors in T6, & balconies in T7. I just don't see why 2D fighters can't do the same thing to add some more variance to the genre.

Some of us just don't see that as a bad thing, I like having more things to account for in a MU, makes things more dynamic.

I've seen Tyler and Derek both get hit out of the corner interactable during the jump.
Isn't the armor only on the initial run up so you can punish them anyway on the EX

Jumping out of corners with interactables doesnt bother me at all. The corner pressure in this game will be ridiculous. Sorcerer Quan Chi for example can probably Armor up and jail you in the corner forever. I see it as an option that keeps this game from giving anyone an overpowering advantage.

You do know the tekken community hates all that right? Do you want me to get Fab, the game, kor and others in here and tell you how they would turn all that shit off of they could but sadly they don't have the option to do so WE do.

Because Stage select should always be random in a fighting game regardless.
Then interactibles should be off. Because then there is a random advantage/disadvantage factor that is associated with each stage, and that shouldn't happen. It's that simple. Stage select should always be random when it grants no advantage to one player or the other.

I mean, we made the stage rule for MK9 because of stage length, and there the starting position was the exact same for all characters with no advantage. Same length, same distance, same time to travel/trap in the corner. Yet we discerned that it granted enough of a match-changing factor depending on playstyle and character to have stage be selectable. Here we have RANDOM objects that are NOT SYMMETRICAL that can impact the course of the match. And we're arguing that doesn't matter for balance? Is everyone high?

Aaaaand that's the only random part of it, literally nothing else is .
Okay, and you still don't see how that's an issue? We have spent the last 10 pages arguing about balance and player position and player advantage. And how competitive play should value skill over random map factors. Yes, let's throw that out of the window by giving one player a potential advantage because of a random stage and how close he is to an object. Seems totally legit.

Regardless, we can talk circles on the topic, we just have to see how much it impacts the game when it comes out. Until then, it's all moot.

And they're not indicative of the whole Tekken scene. The game isn't even out yet, we literally do not know all the options we have with interactables for & against them. This is ridiculous.

If you think the Stage Factors are throwing skill out the window you need to work on your competitive mindset.

All for having interactables off. Won't go into detail; most players understand the delicate balance that a game must maintain in order for it to be competitive. Having asymmetrical interactables that alter the match just complicates things and creates unnecessary variables. They are not essential to the gameplay, so why bother.

What do they add besides cool effects? It's not like the wall bounces are literally the ONLY way to escape the corner... The game and its characters will function 100% fine without them. What happens if they're on? You cannot possibly balance ~20 characters with 3 variations on every stage using every set up both on P1 and p2 side. Something is bound to be unfair.

i think different NFL stadiums should start putting small hills, sand, hurdles and various terrain changes unique to that particular field
This has nothing to do with nothing.

Editt for clarification because reasons:

The analogy would be the rules. As in what the officials call. Our 'field' automatically includes these things. I get where you're going but this is off.

Know what else affects the match?
Literally everything else taking place in the game at any given time.

Run button affects the match. Torr's lackey roll affects the match. Everything affects the match that isn't dialogue.
To take it through your list: When has that not been a thing? Learn how to fight two different specials. Pretty sure most stages are generally the same length. Don't think you can counterpick a stage on someone in this game on account of the stage itself having very little play into the whole thing. Interactables isn't an issue considering everything else you have to worry about.

So wait is this an argument for having them on or off? Also am I just supposed to take your word for it because of who you are, or should I be expecting a half-decent rebuttal aside from "This game takes too much thinking."?

Don't like interactables? Pick the training stage and hope the coin lands on your side.

Why not ban throws? Or enforce throwing only in one direction?
Why do I have to guess which direction you're throwing me in without a visual indication?

Logic: 2d fighters don't do this. Don't fix what's not broken, etc.

And this isnt a shot at you Jr., Id hope I dont have to clarify that.
