Like I'm NOrcal and probably gonna go to NCR but the only reason is because it's close as hell. If somehow Kineda doesn't run BB I'm not going. Only thing I enjoyed about last NCR was anime room being baller as fuck *Best part was Champ coming in hearing all the hype thinking a Marvel Money Match was going on, coming in, seeing Dokapon and leaving* and Socal NRS guys being pretty cool I probably would have left Day One.

Revelations was actually run really well, because John Nelson outsourced all of the TOing and Streams to community people.

Team hAZmat had a stream and EGP ran the MK9 tournament, for example.

and yeah, as 7L stated, school is a lot harder to take off without a proper excuse.

If you guys want to nail down Saturday pools so that those of you who can't get off work can register and play, you need to make your voices heard, together, asap.

Now's the time -- so if you guys want to do something about this, I'll point Valle to the thread and we can talk about it.

My daughter will be born just a few days before the tourney so will not be able to attend.

But if you can go and want to, do it to support the game and the community so when can make the TO's take us more serious and give us bigger caps. It is in our power to grow into something that SF and other games have so lets do dis!

Real talk: travel is expensive. Seriously, I don't understand how you guys afford to travel all over the country every few months. If I actually had the funds to get out there I would, but as it is I could barely even work the registration fee into my budget.

I added a registration link to the OP. If you KNOW you're going and haven't registered yet, do it now. I don't want 50 people showing up at the door complaining about lack of setups for Injustice. Lets get this issue fixed now.

Dude trust me, it was that bad.

They ran AE and MK9 in different rooms at the same time with no communication. I got DQd from AE because I was playing MK9 and Chris G got DQd from MK9 because he was playing AE.

Once we got down to top 3 or 4 the guy running our bracket said "okay come back tomorrow for finals" and left, then we realized... what time tomorrow? So we go to their registration desk and say "hey what time should we be back tomorrow?" first of all, not only did they know, but they said "you should check our website, it's on there" while they are sitting behind a computer, so I got pissed off and yelled at them to check for us. ON TOP OF THAT, when they did it wasn't on there ANYWHERE so they said "I don't know, you should go find the guy running the whole tournament and ask him." which is fucking ridiculous because that shouldn't be our job to do. Finally after running around forever we found him and figured it out, stupid experience overall though.

Also they advertised that top 16 would be evo seeded for MK9 but only top 8 were.

Oh yeah, and of course NCR was a few days after Injustice came out but they refused to run it there because they clearly hate the NRS community.



I've been to hundreds and hundreds of tournaments and NCR last year was easily one of the worst that I had ever been to, major OR local.


The only upside was getting to hang out with the norcal guys because they are always awesome and a pleasure to hang out with.

NCR was rough last year, but the venue changed this year so hopefully that helps. I thought NCR 2012 was better than 2013 for sure.
