Since multiple charts have been appearing all over the character boards, I decided I'd make one for Hawkgirl.
I've decided on those numbers through theory and experience. Let's discuss dem numberz people.
There are some characters I've not fought yet (such as Catwoman), so it'll only be based on theory for those guys. If there's a (?) next to the matchup numbers, that means I need your input peeps.

This looks just about right. Just about every match up that she loses in this chart is because that opponent has something that clips her wings. Been playing a lot of GL and Batgirl the past few days and its so hard to do what I want because you have to respect lanterns might and BG's teleport. I manage to keep it close but jeez good Lanterns and Barbaras make my head hurt lol

Lex Luthor I agree with because those bomb traps really mess up her flight game and getting up-close he can mess her up bad.....sleep on a good Luthor, and you're just asking to get bodied :p

I actually played a Shazam the other day for the first time. Here's my thoughts.:

-When I'd zone out air MT, he would attempt to close with his forward teleport. Initially he was blowing me up with that. I'd then work to space better and when he'd forward teleport after a MT, I'd divekick. Shazam is vulnerable for a short time after teleport before he can block or act. Overall, I feel with teleport, he has an easier time getting in. Everytime I'd get hit out of air, I'd eat a combo.

-Versus a Shazam psychocrusher (torpedo), stand block then you have a free D1>4>2>MC or D1>WE3 which is more reliable.

-If Shazam attempts a corner escape to negate your corner oki, do backdash WE, wait till he teleports then, then hit 2 (WE2) for corner combo. If no teleport, WE3 instead to get back in.

-Of course, when he traits, you do not want to eat a fat combo so block/zone.

Thats really all I can remember from this matchup. I'd need more experience with it to rate it, but hopefully this data will help. Shall I cross post this in the matchup thread?

I don't like the .5s. In most cases, you need to make the match-up more extreme when you do .5

HG vs NW is 6-4. In addition to the air mobility, her pokes allow her to keep up with his.

Bane is accurate... wow

Batman and Black Adam beat her 4-6. You're overthinking the match-up. They have the advantage and it's clear.

Sinestro 2-8. Just say it. No one on this board will make fun of you, since it's an obvious 1-9 when trait is up and 3-7 without it.

Superman is 4-6. The damage output offsets any minor advantage she has in the match-up over him due to her pokes and flight.

Shazam can be tough. His lighting bolt's...plus a well timed teleport seem to fuck with my footsies.

Catwoman....HG wins this MU...just watch out for Jump 2.

Ares is iffy for me...I played two very GOOD Ares' today and it wasn't easy AT ALL...I need more experience fighting him though.

I used to think the WW mu was hard but now I'm thinking HG wins it...if you know they are going to do an air dive (coming towards you, straight) a simply timed forward air mace will due the trick.

GL is a bitch to fight...I don't know if it's bad for HG or if it's just bad for ME as a player...I struggle immensely against solid GL's.

Sinestro...I have yet to beat a good Sinestro (I've played WoundCowboy's and it was miserable)...luckily I have Frost in my repertoire.

I actually don't mind the Bat girl MU...if you just stay on the ground and sneak in a few downward air maces when you anticipate her projectile...it's not so difficult. Her 6 frame d1 is your best friend in this MU.

Also in regards to Bane...IMO, Hawkgirl wins this MU. I've played several great Bane's and they've all told me that HG is a huge problem for their game/setup's. If you can manage to keep him off balance and keep yourself out of the corner, "HawkGirl wins".
 
Joker is a hilarious good matchup for Hawkgirl - easily 7-3.

And Deathstroke is harder than 4-6 IMO - she's the only character that can only punish blocked guns at point blank range, and air guns significantly limit her Flight game. d1 and WE 3 are the only reasons she even has a chance lol.

Hi guys. Bane main here. I'm just wondering the reasons behind most of you putting the Bane match-up at 5-5 or in favor of Bane. I've only played a few HG's and I had a lot of trouble with them. I feel one of Bane's main strengths is destroying people's wake-up game and that's not really possible with HG. Outside of that I feel that WE3 and her amazing D1 blow up anything he wants to do up close. Within the WE3 range she can just throw it out and mash D1 afterwards as Bane has nothing faster than 9 frames and it's difficult to throw out Venomed specials against D1 spam.

What have other Banes done to you guys to make think it's even or slightly favorable for Bane? Whenever I play against her I feel bullied :'(

The reason is that (almost) everything HG does is just 1 hit and relatively slow, with armor you can just plow through all of her stuff.
He also has options like the shoulder charge, jumping uppercut, d2 and air throw to keep her out of the air, considering you can add armor it becomes a pain even if i read your move as you'll just go through it.
Not to mention that he does hella damage if he gets close.

For the d1 spam, its is - on block, so if you block one and you think they'll do it again you can armor through or backdash, and it some ranges you use your own d1 as you have more range.

The main reason its 5-5 is coz he has options that can make flight risky, and he can in alot of cases just do what he wants as armor will beat what we'll try anyway. His damage with venom doesnt help either as HG's damage outside of the corner is on the low side.

Thanks for the reply! I guess I just need more match-up experience. Mind if I add you on PSN? I'd love to play more experienced Hawkgirls. Also, can we agree that she has the best D1 in the game? That thing is incredible.

Sure go for it, i dont have much Bane exp so i'd like to fix that =p
i agree that she has one of the best d1's, not sure if its the very best though.
