Batman players have commonly used his trait for its purpose as a projectile, be it to ensure continued pressure off of blockstrings or to address the opponent's Wake-Ups in an aggressive manner. Now, TYM member RapZiLLa54 shares a knockdown set-up off of the secondary use of the Dark Knight's bats, specifically his Batswarm (d + 4 with bats enabled).

Feel free to check out the included video along with Rapzilla's notes on his set-up. This may yet add to an increasing arsenal of options for Batman players out there!

Read on for Rapzilla's notes, which are italicized.

This can ONLY be done with 3 bats activated because it works using Batswarm (d4).

If you do any knockdown whether its untechable or not doesn't matter. Get on top of them and do batswarms.
If they jump they get relaunched
If they backdash they get relaunched
If they block you're at enough plus to do a 12 to get some more pressure going, if they do a non invincible wake up attack they get launched instantly
If they wake up with an invincible wake up attack in most cases it will eat your bats but you can then instantly block the attack and then punish.
Some wakeups like Lex Corp Charge, DS sword spin, Sinestro sting will eat right through the bats and hit you so its not 100% vs everyone.

We're the few left maining this bastard. Gotta stick together :) also I have a swag pressure setup in the corner. If you land f3... Like 113 f3 MB grapple b112. Slightly delay a MB rang and your back on b3 into 22/b1 pressure. Or cross over j2. I'm still testing it mid screen but my theory is, with bats out, You can b112 MB rang ( if it hits on their wake up and pops up) 4 MB straight grapple. If they block youre at +38 and should be able to dash up and release bats or MB b/f3 for another launch or more frame adv. Still testing thought. A swag set up mid screen is 113 f3 MB grapple b112 MB rang. It's tight though on 113 f3.

Wgat do you know about the 112 bats vortex that glue has been talking about?

Its in my original combo video. 112 call bats leaves you at so much advantage you get a free b23 (which if they are doing anything but blocking they get reset with releasing bats into b3 or mb grapple again.) Or you can b113 (although timing is strict, b1(1) will whiff if you don't do it right away or it will just whiff in general vs low hitbox characters like WW and CW.

I'm still testing it mid screen but my theory is, with bats out, You can b112 MB rang ( if it hits on their wake up and pops up) 4 MB straight grapple.
You have to commit to this set up or else bats won't connect, you can't hit confirm it. IMO I like to just dash up, back dash and release Bats into dash j2. If they do anything but block they die lol and the dashing in forces a lot of people to just wake up. Actually it was testing out that set up that lead to this batswarm tech.

Thx bro! This is helping me a ton. I suck at coming up with setup with out having someone to bounce them off of lol

Its odd, I remember it being discussed greatly when the demo dropped by Check, Curbo and Used but it seems to be relatively unknown or a "best kept secret". I'll post a new vid tomorrow going over it.

No invincible wakeups go through the MB rang? I only ask because essentially MB rang is like doing swarm OS except wasting a bar of meter.

Well my thoughts are that if it hits the get combod, and blocked its hella frames. So could be a move thing to mix in to corner pressure. Especially if conditioned not to wake up. Just a thought. Plus you keep bats and get extra damage to then swarm on knock down if the rang hits
