In all honesty, THIS could be the most fun matchup in MK2. For many people, it is at the top of the list.
Reptile is a very cool character, but he gets destroyed by nearly every other fighter.
At last! A Reptile mirror! If you're more skilled than your opponent, this will be the ONLY time in MK2 that Reptile has the advantage in a match haha.
Here are some tips for Reptile mirrors:

DO's:

- Go Invisibile... it is Reptile's biggest weapon in almost every match. No different here. Once invisible, you're in charge of the round.

- Anti-air your opponents jump-ins with roundhouses, aaHP/JK, or uppercuts.

- Watch for Reptile to go into his Forceball start-up pose, and quickly slide him. Jump kicking him can be tricky. Sometimes you end up landing on the Forceball instead, and getting comboed.

- Learn to play up close with Reptile. There are very few characters you can boss around in CQC. But if you're the more skilled Reptile, then you will be able to whoop up on your opponent in close.

DONT's:

- Using the slide stupidly will end the round fast. It can be blocked and uppercutted.

- If Reptile is invisible, jumping from afar is NOT an advisable strategy. If Reptile launches a Forceball as you jump, you'll eat a big combo. Or he can just anti-air you any number of ways.

- Getting predictable with the Acid Spit will get you slid. Use it to try and bait slides or jump kicks out of your opponent.

- Launching Forceballs up close won't get you far in MK2. The animation takes so long that you opponent will have plenty of time to sweep you out of it before it even launches.
