Video/Tutorial Joker Midscreen AA combos & possible Teeth loops?

Ok I am awake :joker: DreadzTsung they can roll out and wake up because you have to end the combo with an untechable before you do that unblockable set up. In the case of d2xxteeth, j2 they can tech roll or wake up because their knockdown is techable. What you're trying to do works, you just have to set it up differently. that's why your set up isn't working Rahe27. If I'm not mistaken joker's only moves that can't be teched on knockdown are sweep, throw, and his crow bar attack. So they would have to be used when attempting teeth set ups that don't involve d2 teeth juggles, believe me, dreadz saw me attempting to do them after I stopped practicing it for a couple of hours, d2 teeth juggle isn't easy to do until you get used to doing it.

For those having trouble doing d+2 into teeth you have two options
When doing d+2, hold 2 while you input the db+3. This prevents the 2nd input of 2 of two from coming out so you never get the RLG. (Pretty hard to do on pad.)
Other option is to just turn off negative edge.
You, I like you. This just relieved a whole lot of frustration...

Wow. You know what. I could set them up closer with a different combo so I will do a far teeth then if they Roll back they are fucked right into the teeth.

LOL I know but there just might not be one, which I don't mind as long as other characters don't have any. wouldnt want this to be MK all over again. Want joker to be good, not cyrax. he gets destroyed by zoners though.

I'm gonna upload the setup and see what others think about it. Btw it does work in the corner since they can't tech roll.

Here is a setup me and ESP_-TICER came up with. Mostly him. What's your opinion on it guys? It can be tech rolled except of course in the corner.
 
Any one else get jokers knife poping out of his hand after doing 2,3,2 Teeth but canceling the teeth during the second hit (Durring 3). struck me funny

yeah i use to do that.. but instead use 321 (cancelfirst knife stab) into the teeth.. since it leaves you clsoer than that string you using.. i tend to only do it in the corner
Yeah it's hard to tech roll in corner. But if you far teeth j2 shouldn't that push them back into the far teeth. If mid screen? Possibility?
Therefore if they roll they roll into your trap. Well unless they block on wakeup. -____- shit it's hard finding a reset that will trap your opponent.

So hard to set it up to hit the j3. Is this pre patch btw???

Also the reset at the end can be avoided with roll

no, not pre-patch. also, I know, but that way you force them to roll.

edit: disregard that last line; yes it is pre-patch, but it still works. timing didn't change, either. the damage did go down to 47%, though. damage nerf in there somewhere...

edit 2: bumped the damage up to 49%.

edit 3: further optimized to 51%.

Kinda ends Like my reset. They can tech roll If not in corner.

Man anyone else having trouble landing the ji3 after they get popped up by teeth
The timing seems ridiculously strict
I do the teeth, ji2/3. Throw teeth out as fast possible, try to ji3 them into the teeth.
I can't even get the first loop going, seems really strict on timing.

Any hints guys? lol

mmm i notice that its easier starting with the mid teeth. then jumpkick them in the face. i hit one ji3 consistently now after practice with 2 being real hard .. .

True. But the old thing I've noticed. If they don't tech it or try to wakeup. This setup causes massive damage. Joker is just <33333

You think NRS knew cyrax had those resets??? hahaha.. who knows if he does.. we need someone like Tony t or @check4900 to look into it.. since they are the combo masters...

one thing i found out thats very interesting, that may lead to some unblockable resets.. is the stage bounces (when you press r1 and he kicks them to the back of the stage and they come flying back)

the reason is.. those stage bounces are untechable after!!! which means you can set up teeth as they are flying back and when they land, they cannot roll away.. they can wake up.. but you have so much recover already you can set up your f3 MB or even a cross up kick...
ill have to experiment with chars and their wake ups..

thing about joker is you really have to know what your opponent can do on wake up in order to set up the best traps.. its something that will take some time.

also i recommend picking stages with these wall bounces for joker when you can... because midscreen he does not do much damage without meter, but with the wall bounces.. you can land 40% no bar, or go for a reset... i think Atlantis is his best stage so far.. as midscreen he can slide on the pole to get in easy. as well as use the corner interactables. and bounce ppl on the back of the stage for good midscreen damage..

ill post videos soon..

i expect to work on a full guide against each char, and what wake up options they have, or none if they dont against his wake up traps. especially in the corner...

Good find. You might want do the stage bounce then teeth then walk back a little if you have to then jump in with j2 to kind if trap them. This is a good find because their only escape is a wake up and if they don't. Joker can do some sssssssssstupid damage. Lol.
