I'm playing around with combos off of a njp in the corner since you catch ppl jumping a lot...

I'm doing njp njp(yes two of them lol) jk Tele3 3 exhat jk tele 3 spin 24 1+3 2 for 44%

Anything more efficient?
You should use EX Hat sooner, it scales better. Something like:

NJP, NJP, EX Hat, JIK xx DK, JIK xx Teleport 3, Spin, 2 4 1+3 2 -- 47%

You're better off doing B3,3,3 consistently, maybe b3,3 after you've established that you do b3,3,3. It's -5 and can be hit confirmed into a combo easier. B3,3 is -8 and you're eating a combo from jax, sonya, sektor, Lao. You're eating specials from people like Kenshi and reptile and you're eating pressure by everyone.
You never want to use B333.

Stay the hell away from him, if he D3's make sure you check with a D1 or D3 of your own. Otherwise he can Double D3 back into pressure. Mix up the pressure in your strings, stagger 2 sometimes instead of 21 and do 21212 instead of 21. Same with 1121.

Bird Lao works fine against Cage. Make sure you space with B1 F1 as it can be confirmed into spin easily, use F2 sparingly but it's a good tool in this MU. Spacing is everything, if he keeps dashing in recklesssly check him with 24 mix-ups. This MU isn't that bad at all, but it sure as hell is a headache sometimes.

I use the B1F1 string against Cage occasionally to keep him out, but it's important not to overuse it as it's so easy to whiff punish. Cage can get a shadow kick, or worse, a B3.

Does anybody use 24~ultimate hat midscreen? I know you could stance check & get 24~spin but it seems like this could be good for a quick hit confirm. It's like 16% plus whatever damage you get from the safe jump. Just wanted to hear other people's opinions, I don't really play Lao lol.

it is stance specific on female characters. I would just go for naked 24 or 24 overhead if youre not in the stance for 24 spin, the hard knockdown grants you good advantage to do other stuff, like a dash up f2 or low hat from where you are standing, its hard for them to take advantage of kung laos high's when they are just standing up so you can do an instant divekick after the knockdown to continue pressure. if they keep jumping after 24 overhead knockdown, just pressure with f3 roll on knockdown, if they jump you can confirm it into a spin.

edit: if you ARE going to use meter at least use it on 24 ex spin, divekick, 1,24 for 31% which is still better than 16% plus safe jump and it is not stance specific on anyone.

Hi there, pc player here, how do i'm suppose to do divekick after jumpkick+divekick? It seems pretty easy on videos but i cant land it every time.

set CPU on jump, practice jumpkick divekick into dive kick, if you can't do instant air divekick practice those first. after string into spin launcher it is recommended to do a slight dash into jumpkick divekick.

i wonder, if ur stance matches the opponent and u catch them with a tele 3 on block, ur stance hansn't changed right? 24 would still connect?

One problem, after dash it feels like big recovery time and i cant do anything. But thank you anyway.

you kind of cancel the dash into a forward jump. practice both parts seperately before you put them together, which is easier, so:

part 1: 112spin- dashup cancel into forward jumpkick-divekick
part 2: set CPU on jump, practice jumpkick divekick into dive kick

How do you blow up Kung Lao with Cyrax? It seems like KL can just run laps around me and he is, to me, the most frustrating character in all of fightin games.

Cyrax shuts down a lot of Kung Lao's Mobility. Kung Lao's teleport is stuffed by the anti-air grab or just an uppercut. Kung Lao can't take as many risks with teleport because of Cyrax's damage output, Lao is out-footsied by rax's d4 and don't even get me started on the command grab. This is probably a better question for the Cyrax forums, but I think most Lao's will agree that rax has at least a 6-4 advantage in this match-up.

Is a very difficult fight. My tactic is to play very fast and very front this fight. take good care of your meter and maintain the distance very well.

I leave a fight for example : (Vs Cyrax one of the best of Argentina).
