I've started using the b12 b2 shenanigan to much success, thx for that. Have you had a chance to use the beef supreme special? B12 xdjk f4. Oh it's glorious

cross over deep jump kick. b12 grants a safe jump. People are really keen on going into crouch after sub crosses up because of slide. So 22~freeze jip b12 (cross over) djk f4~freeze. You want to have a breaker, obviously if you are going to use this, but damn is it satistfying. and if they let go of block you can confirm the djk into dash 22~slide. My fav mix up sequence is a combo of charlies and mine.. 22~freeze jip b12 b2 cancel~22, hitconfirm to freeze, jip b12 crossover djk f4 freeze jip b121 throw/212~clone. That right there..is hella fuckin damage if you guess right on the 50/50s.

Hell, I will play entire matches with cyrax using only the command grab and pressure to get me a HC into net. By then they are down to 70 % or so and its GGs. I really love the 50/50s in this game. No reason not to create more option if you can, ya know? DAT YOMI SON

Just out of curiosity, why would players want to crouch block after a crossover? Wouldn't that be the same as b1,2,1 dash f4/slide except with less damage?

Fear of slide. The point is that it can overwhelm since you don't see subs crossing up all willy nilly it can be a very WTF?! kinda thing. Plus there are more animations to watch rather than being like" ok, b121 here comes the mix up" you track the cross up see the djk and expect a block string and eat the over head because your crouching not wanting to eat a slide. i like using this vs characters who can duck subs 2 since they will most likely crouch after a djk to duck 2, expecting pressure. It's not a replacement for the b121 mix up, just another shenanigan to add in once they are down loaded and conditioned. Plus it's SWAAAAAAAG

People like to crouch b/c a DJK is an easy throw attempt.

Does anybody use Sub's Xray to get out of pressure or sort of act like a flash parry? If you've got 3 bars and want to armor out, I figure you might as well use the safe/rewarding option rather than an unsafe/unrewarding ex slide.

I've used it when I know it will take the match for me, absolutely. Or if my meter disadvantage won't be too terrible after blowing it on the xray. Another situational gimmick I have used it for, is say they have no breaker and like 20-28 percent health left and I am on match point but down on life. They are turtling the crap out of me...so what does crazy beef do? I will dash block up and xray right into their block and cross up their panicked punish attempt for my own jip combo. This may seem crazy, but believe me when I say I have gotten many people with this, on and offline. I am not condoning such insanity, so do with this what you will

if were gonna talk gimmicks ive got one that literally has alllllllllllllllllllwaaayss worked on the first try... after getting them with a 212 freeze, instantly jump kick forward and do a ex puddle right when you land.. they can tech roll jump out of it.. walla reset is back lol

The fact that SZ has to use 3 bars to do something that most characters only need one for saddens me.

I haven't really even used this yet, it just kinda popped in my head lol. The way I'm thinking about it is that if I'm going to use ex slide it's sort of putting 3 bars on the line anyway since I might have to break afterward.

This is definitely pretty situational for in that one key moment. Sub Zero sort of got the short end of the stick for armoring out of stuff.

if youre using it as a flash parry why not just slide and break if its blocked? same exact effect with pushback.

no i dont use it because it doesnt have armour the first few frames and its extremely situational
