Can we get some of your opinions on Kung Lao vs Cyrax?
cyrax wins 6 4, no doubt about that. I actually know this from experience and watching high lvl raxs play high lvl laos. These are the things that just keep it manageable, but difficult for lao:
*D4: goes right under standing 2, has alot of advantage on hit, and has great reach and a great footsies tool for cyrax to use vs lao.
*AA grab, blows up divekicks, jump ins, and teleports almost everytime, keeps lao grounded
*Damage: One thrown out spin or mistake made by lao, and that is lights out, he can breaker, but that means no more x rax for lao and lao's xray is his most deadly and effective tool.
*Rushdown: everyone knows that lao despises getting rushed by chars, and with someone like rax, he better be thinking twice about doing a random spin. Also rax has got a command grab to mix in and a buzzsaw. The pressure he can apply is vicious and brutal, and also he makes it difficult for lao to build meter off block strings since the only way he will get in effectively is off footsies
*Lao's pressure: 2 1 is great, but can be low poked right after you block it and lao doesn't have the easiest time punishing d1s, lao can check you with a spin if you try to poke out, but that is a risk obviously and he'd only get a decent amount of damage for that, while rax gets you whole lifebar
*Ex net: if linked in a combo, drains lao's meter and will either lead to his death, or him having no meter at all.

and sonya lao 6 4, i know all the things lao can do to stay away, but there are things as well that sonya can do to halt that.

all those 4-6's are still very managable for lao tho.

also if im not mistaken, if u do something like 21 and follow with b33, doesnt it alter his hitbox so that pokes can miss?

I think it might, I landed that quite a bit today. I'll have to look into it, it's unsafe though. I wouldn't go as far as to say very manageable, but a Lao that knows the MU should do ok.

b33 is safe enough that u shouldnt be to afraid to use it in most matchups, u really only have to worry if its the mirror matchup since kung lao can get a fullcombo punish off a blocked b33, other than that tho it shouldn't be something to worry about.

You're better off doing B3,3,3 consistently, maybe b3,3 after you've established that you do b3,3,3. It's -5 and can be hit confirmed into a combo easier. B3,3 is -8 and you're eating a combo from jax, sonya, sektor, Lao. You're eating specials from people like Kenshi and reptile and you're eating pressure by everyone.

still worth using, because the last hit of b333 will wiff if they crouchblock.

The issue w/B333 is that last hit is HIGH. Even with the opponent crouch blocking, the last hit whiffs :mad: This string is CRAP.

Grr i'm slow...

Yeah I don't use b3 strings at all usually. I don't know much about the string as far as counterpoking and hitbox goes.
 
I'm playing around with combos off of a njp in the corner since you catch ppl jumping a lot...

I'm doing njp njp(yes two of them lol) jk Tele3 3 exhat jk tele 3 spin 24 1+3 2 for 44%

Anything more efficient?

You can go Njp tele 4, spin, Jk dk, jk tele 3, 1121, 24 1+3 for like 47%. Even toss in a 21 before the spin if you want.

Yours is safer though, but it takes a bar of meter. Try njp tele 3 iadk, spin, jk tele 3, 2 4 1+3. Something like that at least

Edit: How do you guys feel about this combo for swag. 21 spin, F4, 2 ex hat, Jk tele 3, 1121, 24 1+3

How are you managing the F4 into 2 ex hat? I'd assume they go far before you recover from the move.

you have to be on point to hitconfirm it tho, if ur gonna try an hitconfirm b33 u gotta be watching the opponents character very carefully.

Nice, I always screws up the Tele 4 but now I see you have to delay it a sec.or you come out on the wrong side
