Vampire Jesus....he wants YOUR blood now!!
Its hard to classify him. He can zone, like for example vs Cage, but shouldn't against any decent anti-zoner like Sektor. He can play footsies with his gdlk d4, like he should against those he can't zone. He can decently rush down, with his 1,2 or 1,2 pressure into cmnd grabs, overhead buzzsaw and ex-ragdoll and other tools. He is basically the swiss army knife of MK characters...but instead of a small pocket knife blade of a swiss army knife, he has all the tools plus a nuke as his knife when he touches you.
can i go buy a Cyrax at Home Depot? o:

all this cyrax bullshit is temtping me to use him again...even tho i dropped him cuz i felt his bs was bogus......x.x....but then again i have been spending an awful lot of time in the training mode with Kabal....
Dont compare Kabal to Cyrax's bullshit, other then the troublesome IAGB Kabal has.
Cyrax on the other hand with his entire armory starting from simple resets to complex reverse b2, uppercuts and going through breaker combos, punishment (bombs) on hit ending on sick corner game and his ridiculous damage output and decent preesure is no where near that silly IAGB Kabal has, its either REO or no body else that close.
So many good Kabals but yet no one like him...
Cyrax as much as he is bugged is a truly amazing character that requires calculation and prediction, not to mention the hard stuff to pull off.
If you are good enough and smart enough You can rip off your opponent of his breaker and drain his last bar with draining net and on top of that apply 50% damage to his life bar. With kabal's NDC comes reword but one error will cost you much more, IAGB is good but for some reason only REO is the one that is always on top.
And only few has made to the top besides him, however this section is focused on Cyrax not Kabal, so I wont say anymore as it may be inappropriate. I play Cyrax on daily basis... and not a stupid one Kosu is a amazing player and I see very clearly what these characters are capable of.
Peace out...

so many things to remember about cyrax compared to the other characters....lol. so many variations of resets & bomb traps its not even funny.

doesnt he also have an insescapable trap against shang tsung in the corner too?

From my observation the 33 starter takes the front seats in his corner game. If You can reed a wake up attack coming with this tool You will mess it up for him (that wakeup attack) if timed correctly.
Then the hard knock down into cb with njp mixup is awesome. The another thing I like about Cyrax being close to corner is his ex Ragdoll into d1 net and fallow up, or d1, 12 (if i remember correctly) that puts opponent back into the corner and leads to another mindfuck.

Djt posting because my bro is too lazy to log out:
liu kang beats rax 6-4. rax has to be completely patient. liu outzones rax and has better footsies. long fast normals that kang has gives rax trouble. its real tough for rax. there is no way that the mu is even. rax also doesn't have a completly safe way out of liu's pressure. the safe thing to do is d1 exragdoll. d3 and d1 can be punished by b312 on block. d4 whiffed can be punished by b312. rax has to get in or get the life lead and turtle. i know this mu extremely well playing all the best liu's on the west coast. I play my bro all the time in this mu 1000's of times. rax loses to kang but it is manageable. got to have good footsies with rax to beat kang. if you get in on kang you can abuse the juicy hitbox he has with cg's and 12 11 etc. once you experience the mu playing someone like my bro you'll see like me and krayzie. rax loses that mu.

rax vs jax is 6-4 jax favor. jax outzones rax and can abuse that hitbox pretty bad. jax can punish d1 and d3 with f4. gp cancel can be d4ed by rax by the timing has to be on point. i've played the mu with dab and my bro he knows jax too. jax definitely wins it. dat pressure can really get to rax. players like cdjr, and tyrant know the mu well and will give you problems. it could possibly be 5-5 but its more 6-4 i would say.

rax vs skarlet I feel rax wins it 6-4 I can agree with 5-5. I feel that skarlet can abuse rax's hitbox. but a skarlet players will be doing a lot of ex red dashes and using lots of meter. all rax needs is one mistake. skarlet is wasting meter with pressure but if rax gets his combo in reset and its done.skarlet can't pressure without using meter so she is using meter the whole time. bad thing vs rax because you need that meter to break resets. skarlet can't make any mistakes at all. 5-5 is agreeable tho.

rax vs scorpion is 7-3 the risk/reward is heavily in rax's favor. scorpion cannot risk the vortex too much because one wrong guess and it's reset. scorpion has to play completely safe with those bad pokes. unsafe tele. he can't do aa spears with the risk of teleporting in the air. cyrax can abuse that hitbox. and with bad pokes scorpion goes nowhere and cyrax can continue pressure. most scorpion agree that cyrax demolishes scorpion. some even say 8-2. definitely heavy in rax favor.

rax vs kano is 7-3 kano has to be extremely careful throwing knives. dat net trade is extremely bad. kano's hitbox can be abused. kano just isn't safe to pick vs rax. kano has to work extremely hard to win this match vs rax. no need for me to explain. if someone is picking kano vs my rax in tourny, sweep. too easy bruh.

cyrax beats sindel 6-4 sindel has nice zoning but not enough to keep rax out for long. she has no armor so no safe way out of pressure and no safe wakeups. cant trade nets. could possibly be 5-5. i'm leaning towards more of a 6-4.
i pretty much agree with everything else except nw vs rax could possibly be 7-3 rax too. just got to be professional about it:cool:

Smoke 6-4 ? why?
Djt posting again aha:
cyrax loses to smoke 6-4 because smoke outzones rax and slighlty outfootsies him. the both have damaging resets. I would say rax is better upclose with his mixups. rax can abuse dat hitbox. both can't make any mistakes. it's almost 5-5. 6-4 is more agreeable tho. rax has to be more risky I think to win the match. smoke will be keeping rax away for most of the mu. rax must play offensive and smoke has to be defensive. smoke wins it tho because he can keep rax out easier than rax can get in. rax has to work just a little bit harder than smoke. it's just a slight advantage so not too bad.

id be interested to hear your opinion on the baraka mu
djt posting: my opinion on the baraka mu is that baraka never wants to trade with rax ever. so he wont be throwing too many sparks. rax can throw bombs but has be careful and see if the raka will blade charge them on reaction. I feel it is a footsie battle. both have good d4's but rax has the superior d4. the raka can't get to blade charge happy. 12 does have good range for punish even though it wont be a punish everytime. d4 is a good punish for blade charge too if not done from correct distance. raka's hitbox can be abused and you can get good mixups with rax. I feel rax slightly wins the mu 6-4. not too bad for raka still manageable. rax has superior footsies imo. I don't think raka can keep rax out as easy as rax can keep raka out. I feel cyrax can keep the lead better than what raka can do. raka can punish nets with blade charge also. that rax damage also comes into play. raka has to work harder i think and be more cautious. I feel the raka has to outplay the rax to win. it's only slight advantage so it isn't too bad. raka doesn't want to waste too much meter doing ex blade charges. he definitely wants to save that meter. raka cant punish d1 so rax can abuse that. but raka can just poke out. neither one can jump. d3 buzzsaw and d4 buzzsaw is good in this match. raka can abuse rax hitbox if he gets in. close to almost 5-5 but its 6-4 my final opinion on the mu.

DJT, I'll take your word for it on the Liu Kang MU. We have no dedicated Liu mains and the west coast and Vegas have them both.

Thanks for your input, I respect you and your brothers opinions very much.

well said my friend, thanks a lot ... yet the smoke I practice with always keeps pressure on me, I don't use the down 1 a lot so I think I should use that ... 112 string is also a good tool I need to use more often ... but hey thanks again :)

no problem bro need any help in the match I'll help you or han or any other good rax player. Us rax players got to stick together. a smoke coming up to rax is exactly what rax wants. yeah you can definitely d1 out of smokes pressure since he has no way of punishing cyrax's pokes. d1 ragdoll sometimes too or d1 buzzsaw. good for defense and offense. just got to be professional about it and these mus:cool:

My attempt at trying to bring the Cyrax forum back to life... here's my latest, LBSH, no BS Cyrax MU numbers! Where my GGA team-mates disagree with me I'll mark with a * and let you know who's opinion it is.

Baraka 6-4
Cyber Sub-Zero 7-3
Ermac 6-4
Freddie 5-5
Jade 7-3
Jax 5-5 (could be in Cyrax's favor, midscreen risk/reward too heavily favors Cyrax)
Johnny Cage 6-4 * I will sometimes contend this is closer to even, especiallty on smaller stages where its easier for cage to corner aka cage you.
Kabal 4-6 (Human ver vs Kabal) * soonk and 16 Bit have this as 5-5 in the current meta-game
Kano 7-3
Kenshi 5-5
Kitana 5-5 (* could be 4-6, depending on when you ask me!) GGA 16 Bit
Kung Lao 6-4 (NOT a 7-3, KL has too much mobility and hits hard enough that its not that lopsided!)
Liu Kang 5-5
Mileena 5-5 (not sure, maybe 6-4 in Cyrax's favor)
Nightwolf 7-3
Noob Saibot 7-3
Quan Chi 6-4 (possible 7-3, Quan needs meter for his dirt, and you have an ex-net that steals it! Plus he'll need to save meter for breaker, most likely.)
Raiden 6-4
Rain 6-4
Reptile 6-4
Scorpion 7-3
Sektor 5-5 * Pimpimjim says this could be 6-4 Cyrax's favor.
Shang Tsung 7-3 (with corner traps, its hard to not call this 7-3, even though Shang can still be a pain up close)
Sheeva 7-3 (maybe 8-2)
Sindel 6-4
Skarlet 5-5
Smoke 5-5 * On a good day Wafflez agrees with me!
Sonya 4-6 The only matchup (along with Kabal) where I feel Cyrax can't control the pace and dictate the footsie game.
Stryker 7-3
Sub Zero 7-3

Id call Cage Cyrax a solid 5-5, where momentum is the deciding factor.cage wins up close and full screen, but at around buzzsaw and d4 range Cyrax really dominates him, and if you are on a mid/large stage it is pretty easy to keep this range. Also, Cyrax is much better at maintaining the life lead.
