Jax Ground Pound after autocombo.

I've finally gotten his combo down, and am working on all the variations of it. The one that has me the most frustated is the full autocombo then unblockable ground pound.

Could anyone give me some tips?

Are you having trouble holding the LK button, or are you having another problem?

If people are able to jump away after the last hit of the auto combo and before the ground pound then your just not doing it fast enough

But yeah like Konqrr said, most people just dont release it as fast as they can

My biggest problem is knowing when to start charging it, cause I can't hold it all the way through the combo.

Well if that's the only way to do it then forget it. I thought there may be a way to kinda "fake-charge" it like you can do in the start of the game. Holding it for shorter than 3secs.

Oh well. I still think Jax is a beast and I'm having fun using him as one of my new mains.

It's gonna suck when I finally run out of new characters to main. I've only got a few left, I remember way back when I thought Jax was horrible and I would NEVER use him lol. Same goes for Kano.

yeah no way on a 360 controller. Although I have seen it done a few times, either they're using a 360 stick or they just have godly fingers.

Or you just have to position your fingers in uncomfortable ways, its doable by all means but its uncomfortable, anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

I think that it's pretty hard to use Jax, Kang and Kano to their full potential without a stick. The very first time I played Jax and Kano on my UMK3 Stick (Arcade-in-a-box), I realized that I would never pick them again on a D-pad.

Hell yea thats what I do for kabal's fast fierballs :)
Is that the hold up on the analog, and fireball with the d-pad?

Kang has no potential. Unless your Lex

I can do the fast fireballs jumping backwards without using both the dpad and analog, just the analog. This is one of the reasons I want a stick, I think it would be WAY easier for me.

easier on a stick I presume.
Just saw this now. Here's what I have to say about the concept of "easier" in this situation.

To me, it's just inconvenient to attempt on a gamepad. It's possible but it requires so much deliberation that there's no way to casually perform it. On a stick, some people might feel it is just as difficult, and granted it can seem a bit daunting to have all the buttons on a single face like that if you aren't use to it. However, if you take the time to learn the best way to press each button and take advantage of all your potential finger coordination you can do the charge LK into the combo on the fly.

On a gamepad it's just silly because you have to get to block in the middle so if you wanted to, try charging kick with your thumb, put your middle finger over block, and the hit the rest of the combo with your index finger. This simulates to some extent the coordination behind doing the combo on a 6 button face So basically on a gamepad, in order to charge LK and completely take advantage of the rest of Jax's potential, you have to hold the gamepad in a way that inhibits your motor skills.

In casual performance on a stick while charging LK already, you would charge LK with basically 1/4 of your right palm, like, the knuckle that attaches your finger to the rest of your hand, then hit HK, HK with your pinky but mostly the middle of your pinky unless you have tiny hands, D+HP, HP using your index finger, BL with the middle knuckle of your index finger, LP with your thumb, and B+HP again with your index finger.

Performing it on a stick sounds much more complicated but it's actually overall a much easier execution of dexterity memorization on the fly.
