Guide Max Damage Meterless Combos

Ninj

Where art thou, MKX Skarlet?
midscreen meterless 48% / 51% wit jip
b2 rd downslash, u3, 2 rd downslash , 2 rd downslash 23 rd slide
You've pushed Skarlet's meterless midscreen damage up by 3%. Nicely done man.

I will be updating the combo list shortly.

Added the reset option:
B2,DF3,B2 x U3 -- 2,DF3,B2 xx 2,DF1- xx 1,1,2 -- 41% {Assist: @fr stack}
F4,DF3,B2 x U3 -- 2,DF3,B2 xx 2,DF1- xx 1,1,2 -- 39% {Assist: @fr stack}

We are closing in on it I think. I have a few things I will be testing out this weekend while I do some more recording

I think people will have a less difficult time learning her if she had clear max damage bnbs. Until recently everyone was using different stuff, and with new stuff coming out all the time it meant remastering all the already difficult execution. I've had like 3 different sets of bnbs for different situations, a new set of combos every time new tech cmoes out, its felt like relearning the character every time new tech comes out. Its crazy fun but I think once the max damage stuff is all out there people will just be able to focus on execution rather than relearning new timing.

How many people have swapped out their bnbs for new ones several times with Skarlet?

I've been replacing my old BnBs with better ones thanks to fr stack's combo. I see some Skarlet players do U3, Air Dagger combos for simplicity but those don't build as much meter as her Red Dash, Down Slash combos. Lately I've been trying to get into the habit of hit confirming jip, F2, 1 into Red Dash, Down Slash.

I think my combo changes everytime after i see a skarlet player do something i never did before.
L0rdoftheFLY, Ninj, Red, and now Stack have contributed to it, i have at least one BnBs from each one of you lol
Stack's combo is so damaging that if you extend a bit more they just see themselves forced to use breaker lol
Also it made more easy to win the rounds ^^

Also Ninj, i think if we had some BnBs with serious damage with the rd~Up slash starter would be of a huge help. Also because we skarlet players interrupt other opponent strings with this starter and sometimes we just don't know what to do.

i have no problems using a bar of meter for nearly 60% damage :cool:

Ninj We should probably also take into account how much meter the BnB combos give, using queeler's meter building topic. I think her 2 Red Dash combos, well any combo that involves multiple Red Dashes, give the most meter.

Yeah I like that idea. If I forget, feel free to remind me. I'm going to do some heavy lifting on the guide this weekend (without my new hitbox...it comes on Monday).

I used to think they're unplayable on X360.

Maybe i need to mod or buy one
Oh. Yeah, I'm pretty sure most hitboxes are made with the PS3 in mind by companies, but it's just as easy to make one for the 360 if you have the knowledge to do so. Lucky for me, my brother is brilliant as well as an electrical engineer.

Since when Skarlet can cancel her slide into slashes?

EDIT: Nvm, the vid is outdated.

She was able to do that when she was released and her daggercancels were a lot faster, patch took care of that :(.
I think the slide into slash was a mistake made by NRS, you could do a lot of damage with these.

If Skarlet was still prepatch, she would be an undisputed top 5 character, possibly top 3. m2dave seems to think her prepatch daggers were what made her so good, when in fact it was her absolutely ridiculous combo potential off of a red slide.
