TYM's MK9 Teams

Before I start I apologise if there is already a thread similar to this but I was unable to find one so here goes.

As many of you are now aware, MK9 has turned into a game (unfortunately) of counter-picking. If you want a perfect example of that then watch MLG. Many top players such as CD jr, REO and Maxter all have 2/3/4 characters that they are comfortable with taking to a tournament in the event that one of their characters run into bad match-ups.

I have now built my own team of 3 characters with my main being Sub Zero and I have two other characters to work on the matches that are either match-up chart bad or just too uncomfortble for me to participate in with my main.

I would like to know what teams you guys have and the reasoning for your character selections. It would also help if you ranked your characters in order of who's your main, secondary etc. If you only have one character then you can still post here. I'm interested to see what kind of results we come up with...

Anyways this is my team:
Main: Sub Zero
Second: Sektor
Third: Cage

I use Sub Zero for 22/31 matches, Sektor for 5 matches (Kabal, Kenshi, Kitana, Sindel, Sub Zero) and Cage for 4 matches (Jax, Kung Lao, Mileena, Smoke).

just kidding, but fuck ive played literally no one but KL since launch. everyone else just seems shit to play and doesnt suit my style. i actually also put a lot of time in with noob but he straight up blows. right now im trying my hand at cyrax. he doesnt really counter my personal bad match ups [cage, kitana, sonya] but im banking on a net and a dream lmao.

Jax - I hate mirrors.
Cage - If i fail with Jax.
Mileena - U like abusing that d4 eh?
Raiden - Punishing teleports with 40%, interrupting his main strings for 35%. ^^

Sektor (Excellent up close and zoning/counter zoning game + an awesome AA 6 frame jab.)
Kabal(Do I NEED an explanation for this character? GDLK Tier)
Shang Tsung(He's always been a character that I wanted to play but never got the hang of until recently and the way he plays just feels fitting to my style of gameplay.)

I used to have Kabal as my top then I got bored of him.But now i'm picking him back up so he's probably going to be my best character again in no time.And now that I look at what I wrote as my character selection I just noticed I like character's with good up close and far away game. Hmm.....

Those are the three I have become most comfortable with throughout the year, with Kung Lao quickly gaining ground on Reptile

1. Sub-Zero
2. Smoke and Raiden (although they are rapidly becoming shit)
3. Johnny Cage (for Kung Lao)
4. Kenshi (still training)
5. Cyrax (just started training)

Against a few chars Cyber Sub don't have good tools enough, if I play a Kitana automatic Cyrax pick.
But damn, I'd love to dedicate myself to one char, and I'm working hard to counter the bad matchups with Csz, if i see a sub zero i start to laugh histerically and pick CSZ. And win.

Yes, people say this, I don't believe it. Even if brady said that does not prove anything.
I personally love those matches, and mostly win with time out. CSZ and SZ are equal.
Before anyone starts hating think about why i tell you that.

Though I wouldn't hesitate to break out my nooby JC or Raiden for a Kung Lao player. lol
