Kano v Reflect Characters

How do you guys deal with reflect characters? Here's my take:

1) Neutral jump the reflect and mosey about your business.
2) Jump towards the reflect and downball punish. Sometimes, this comes at a price.
3) Throw an ex-knife anticipating the reflect then a normal knife to cancel the return. You clearly want to ex-knife to hit but if it doesn't, you are prepared.
4) ...and I love this one, ex-ball through the reflect and hit your opponent.

What do you guys do?

Throw them in spots you feel they can't reaction reflect. When you're looking for knives to reflect, you commit yourself to looking only for it.

Well I guess I was not clear when I started this thread. What I was looking for specifically was baiting reflects. For example, in the character MU thread against Kenshi my advice is to throw knives just outside of spirit charge range to lessen the reaction window your opponent has. Clearly we don't want our projectiles thrown back at us. However, there are situations especially towards the endgame where you want to bait a reflect and punish to finish out. The ex-kano ball is the perfect answer to this. His downball also works well if they don't expect it. NW can Arrow you out of this. Kratos, although not played competitively, can put a whole lot of hurtin' on you if he anticipates it.

Does anyone else bait reflects?

BUT
something extremely important to know about Nightwolf is that his reflect is _instant_ and he can block the _moment after he reflects_, so unless the NW player presses a button after reflecting, your exball will get blocked. kenshi's reflect has start-up frames and recovery frames though, so this tactic is fairly viable.

vs Smoke : each knockdown ill toss a knife to condition them to expect a knife when theres distance, then i bait the shake and BALL THAT BITCH!

vs Nightwolf : if you knife from max distance, then knife again quickly, the 1st will disappear and catch them in the recovery.
(MUST be max distance. They'll try to inch towards you to mess this up once they catch 1-2 knives.)

vs Kenshi : cry in the fetal position. because the last kenshi I played was Pig's >_<
But seriously, Id knife from a jump away, because I believe his reflect has a startup.

I knew this would come up. This is the best reflect bait I have ever seen a Kano do. I was like :0

Beenee made my point exactly...not much else to say. Don't throw knifes against nw or kenshi...it's not going to end well. You win by footsies, jab and grab, and well placed up balls.

Ha! That video demonstrated exactly what I was talking about for baiting a reflect. Good to know about the instant block. So far not too many I've encountered do this. Most try and hit you with the lightning after reflect so I guess its a gamble for both characters. Lets keep these Kano forums hopping shall we?

I particularly find Smoke a problem for Kano, if you can bait a shake then you can full punish with F3B2 into a juggle. I know Noob Saibot is hard, but once you get in, you can give NS problems. Smoke is just a bitch to fight..

When I meant "bait the shake" I meant from distance, buffering down-back into nothing. They usually shake so its free straightball.
Maybe the smokes I play online just have poor reactions.
