I played Dizzy's Cage at FF4. What I learned from that match up is that 1,2 is your friend and can stop the Cage pressure a little. I might do a write up for sub and scorpion.

How many games did you play against him? You should totally do a cage writeup too considering you've probably played the best in America.

45 Ground pounds=1 bar (does not matter which range or if you cancel it)
27 air gotcha grabs= 1 Bar
17 Overhead Smashes= 1 Bar, 7 on block
17 Dash Punches= 1 bar, 7 on block
27 Energy Waves=1 bar, 8 on block
27 Gotcha grabs= 1 bar, 8 on block
27 mid air grabs= 1 bar

you got it. Good stuff leathl. A blcok F413 is godlike on block for meter gain. You get a bar on one or two reps. I'm not sure because my ps3 is broke, and I need to fix it.

Made a few changes;
- Changed info on some strings
- Added 'pressure guide' and 'meter building data' to useful links section
- Removed parts from the matchup section - I decided we need character specific punishes and other things rather than opinionated analysis, I'll be updating it with punishes and stuff soon if anyone would be kind enough to help out.
- Added a Ground Pound setup section with 2 examples.

Yo, does anyone else know how to do frame data? Sunday I'm start working on a complete write up on his frame data...but it'll be the first one i've ever done. So any tips or anything would be awesome!


Not sure if any of this matters but i'll be using Adobe Premiere and HDPVR to record @ 720p to get the footage and break down the frames. I'll then upload the frames to my personal site and list the numbers and links once i get all that together. So even if my numbers are WAY off, someone else might be able to get more accurate numbers from the stuff I put up.

When you land a mid ground pound against johnny cage, why don't jax players do: dash in, 1,1,1 and then whiffed dash punch to create space on knockdown and go back to gp mixup zoning? If he has breaker do you guys thinkdoing that would be more beneficial to you than having your uppercut, or whatever you end with, broken, and allowing him to start marching straight towards you again?

Yeah. I should have put in the bit about breaker straight away but you may as well just do the full combo if you can. Can you also do the ground pound mixup off 111? I never pay attention fighting Jax, but I assume you can do ground pound, dash in 111, and then enhanced mid ground pound which will catch tech rolls.

Well, say you had a really good lifelead and plenty of meter of your own for your unbreakable damage (enhanced gp off a f4,du4) and you just wanted to control space against somebody like a Johnny Cage. It's in thatsituation that I was wondering whether or not it would be useful to you. You also cross his wakeup up and turn his inputs around... Maybe it's not worth it.

I am trying to get inside the head of a Jax player so I can start dissecting him so I am playing around with Jax at the minute. Sh*tty character .

I think i've found the ultimate oki with Jax . Here's what you do jax players, take note: gp, dash 1,1,1 back up to space yourself properly and thenwhiffed dash punch to mixup their wakeup inputs. Perfect. You can now be even more irritating than you were before .
