So to find the frame advantage, it's Cancel Adv - Startup?
Wouldn't that make 321~elbow dash +21 on block? (26 - 5). I know that's not right haha. I'm guessing the block advantage of the special move affects the overall advantage too?
You don't need to find it because it is already there, Sprint actually already explained what the gaps mean in the first post of the Cyrax frame data thread. Elbow dash will always be -15.

My bad guys, what I said was wrong earlier in this thread. But I have been saying to take the STARTUP of acid hand which is 26, not 27 or 58. If there is no gap (which there isn't), then you can't interrupt with anything. If it was +25, then you could do it.

Rapzilla, the advantage is before the wakeup attacks begin, I still have to add tech rolls to this.
That makes much more sense to me, according to my tests.

ps: I cant believe we cant to interrupt such string, its sooooo good, reptile keeps the pressure and is safe even after to finish it with an overhead, its hard to stop him from keeping the pression coz the string keeps yourself on your toes waiting for a special at the end of the combo.

Any suggestions to me on that matter? Im playing as Cyrax actually (I was a subzero player but im dropping him due obvious reasons).

Reptile is -4 after a blocked acid hand, but the pushback is heavy as hell obviously, so there's no guaranteed pressure on either side. Best way to deal with this as Cyrax? Tbh, you have to watch for d4, which is basically free vs most characters due to the pushback if they try to dash back in. And if you have something faster than 16 frames that advances at the same time, d4 is not guaranteed, but he can elbow to check it if it's not faster than 10 frames. There aren't many things 9 frames and advancing in this game, so if you have this (Which Cyrax does not have, but Sub does) you are at a nice advantage. Even with something advancing and faster than 16 frames is great.

I see, thanks. I will test wich options I have to see if I find something that that avoid both reptile's d4 and another string, then the only mind game will be related to guess if he will try something on the ground or if he will jump, much better than to have to guess between 3 different things.

RapZiLLa54 I figured it out! HAHAHA the follow up for ex elbow dash! d3 invis 321!!!! d3 canceled into invis it +13 and 3 is 13 frames, I'm am testing this as soon as I can!

Yeah invis is 28 frames unfortunately. After a d3 hit you can do another d3 and then a d4 into whatever. This game doesn't make sense to me sometimes. +5 on block but yet you can jump out even if I try to do a standing 1 but yet if I'm in the corner and I do 12b1 (+3 on hit) and a standing 1 if they try to jump out I'll hit them and then go into 321 combo.....

Invis is 28 frames?!?! Or is that adding the 13 frames on 3. Either way this sucks, I want frame traps damnit!! Haha

I dont think you can follow up with anything, but the fact that its +5 really shuts down a lot of your opponents options. They only can do poke, jump, block or armor. I think if you do a double ex dash, they might cant even get out of it

I mean I have follow ups, but I am trying to find better ones.

That will destroy anything but a jump out. d3 and d1 will beat every poke follow up

His only real inescapable frame trap is the reset into ex dash. You can't jump out, you can't do anything but block.

d4 followed up by f2 is also inescapable. +12 on hit followed by f2(15f) making it a 3 frame move. You can't be poked back or jumped out of. If you are expecting a jump out do f2 into exfastball for combo or f2b1 for a nice sfb follow up. So its a guaranteed f2b1 which is pretty safe vs most of the cast at -11 and nice push back.

Yeah i know it just sucks lol. I use the reset as my bnb now. Sub zero can ice clone the ex dash though btw.

Yeah ex dash can be a bit of a gift and a curse. They really should make the block stun on it long enough so it can't be interrupted but oh well.

I was talking about after the reset, the ex elbow can be ice cloned, but you're right, I think they left it that way just because of how much chip it can do, but I agree I think that would be helpful.

Your saying he can ice clone before the ex dash or on the way back??

Before, ice clone is only 2 frames. I was playing a sub player and did the reset, and right when I thought the ex dash was going to hit he cloned me, I think it's because you are the elbow dash from close to full range, which takes 12 frames. since you are +8, sub has 4 frames to get out clone. I'm sure in the corner that you've got him, but that has happened to me. It could have just been another online fluke though.

Thats definitely a fluke. The timing on this has to be precise for you not to be able to jump out as well so it could of just been the execution which still happens to me from time to time.

Your also not at max range after the opponent resets themselves, your at the tip of d4 range. Only way you'd be at max range is if you let the 1+2 animation run its course instead of canceling it.

I thought so, just thought I would make everyone aware, because I was salty when that happened to me haha, my mind was blown.

Oh and d4 in the corner followed by 321 is inescapable when in the corner unless they have armor. Out in open space its not bad either its just a shame his regular dash sucks so bad, after a d4 and you dash up to follow up they can crouch the 3.
