One thing I like to get off my chest.

Everyone says Sub-Zero's F2 is reactable offline. Well at WUFL "offline" tournament, there was a lot of Sub-Zero users, still catching the best players around the world with his F2. So let's lay that theory to rest now.
ik right, sub has like 15 other things you need to worry about other than just f2

Sonic made a couple of big adjustments that changed the pace of the set. People aren't gassing out; they're just being adjusted to over time. And the more Sonic understands someone's gameplan over time, the stronger they get.
A lot of players clearly get affected by fatigue. Sonic is focused as shit and usually seems on point but I think Dragon was feeling it in the TM match.

I don't know that this was a factor with his opponents this go around but Sonicfox's tournament endurance is one of his best strengths.

People are stupid. Mileena had a 32 frame overhead in MKX that people didn’t even react to offline.

I don't think people give Sonic enough credit on the side of adaptation. These players are on MK11 for up to a full work shift's worth of time, playing and adapting to various other players, and have been doing so for quite a long time now. It's not being gassed...players at that level adapt on a scale that almost no one else will actually comprehend.

Sonic's tournament endurance is great, yes, but so is everyone else's.

It's not a knock to say the guy is elite in one of the aspects that makes tournament players elite
Well when you say the other player(s) gassed out, it’s kinda implying that they weren’t at 100% and the results would have been different if they were “fresh”. Even though that’s probably not the intent behind saying it.

In my opinion, as a viewer, it was the best MK11 tournament to date. The amount of game 5’s is ridiculous, lol.
Indeed, granted it was a stacked invitational, but even the level of play on display from the people who went 0-2/3 in pools was outstanding. Some tremendous play from the mid tiers, zoning, mix, breakaway reads and flawless block callouts and baits. I haven't finished the 2v2 yet, but Im so excited to watch.
