JC’s d4 beats mid FB

Hello fellow MK enthusiasts!
I’ve recently picked Cage’s Shock Jock (cause I think it’s the best variation out of three) and I was fooling around in Ranked when I came across a Sub player. I hit d4 against his FB and braced for another long ass FB animation only to realize that d4 low profiles a MID FB. Both my opponent and I yelled “WTF” . It’s around 0:55 Here’s the video:

So my question is: are there any other characters with this “feature”? Cause I think this is bullshit. Not only Cage’s d4 is the best in the game cause it jails into f3 now it’s just a bit unfair, isn’t it?

Yes, sub has notorious whiffing issues some characters can even low profile his d1.

its not just Johnny.

Well visually d1 seems to hit a bit higher than his axes, at least that’s how I see it. Why not make the move a high altogether then? Lol. He gets 40+ out of 4FB anyway, make it the price for the damage lol

Nothing about a move being a mid means it has to hit things. It has a hitbox, Johnny's D4 has a really lowered hurtbox, they don't collide and you evaded the FB. I don't think this is a hitbox issue or even unfair.

I think it is unfair cause low shouldn’t beat mid, what’s the point of high attacks then? And Cage of all characters with his +17 d4. I really think I’ve lost the round lol
