Skalp Kollection: DJT and Woundcowboy

I know there's people who had problems with this series back when I did it, but I'm reviving it. There's good gameplay in this shit and some people love this stuff. I feel like this video is also a good demonstration of how hard it actually is for Nightwolf to open up somebody if you just opt to always take the d3/d4. Sure they can kill you like 1% at a time while you run the clock lol. If you're one of the people who thinks this series is whack, you're opposed to uploading etc, I'd like to hear why. I can only imagine the reason for being opposed to this is for ego reasons, but I mean if it comes down to a difference of perspective we're just gonna have to agree to disagree.

The Woundcowboy video is just a good demonstration of why Shaman NW is worth using. Variation hard counters Shang's entire character.

Do people get butthurt over the title or what? High level sets are high level sets <3
It's the typical top player/known player stigma against "uploading". I never upload a private set without permission, but if we run into each other in ranked it's fair game. I just think it's because if you skalp a known player, they feel the need to hella OS instead of just taking the loss.

I think it’s probably just a reaction to people running games until they happen to beat someone with a ‘name’, who may or may not be taking it 100% seriously, or may not even be an active competitor anymore, usually almost always in a short set like a ranked FT2, and then immediately upload the video to YT and pronounce it a ‘scalp’. Regardless of what this is, that’s what the title makes it sound like, so it rubs people the wrong way.

It’s whatever to me, but it’s also immature and I can see why it might turn some people off.

other player uploads match footage:” a v b match analysis, aa possibilities and break down”
Cherney uploads match: “rofl got dem scalps son! Boof!”
Like crimson said I also don’t care one way or another but it seems obvious as to why it might seem in poor taste.

Imagine some tennis pro agreed to play his nephew in a couple games and was not really taking it seriously only to have his nephew load the matches on YouTube.

Tbh, people get way too sensitive over people uploading videos on YouTube. I used to get mad about it too back when I was 17 for UMK3. But I learned that it doesn’t matter. Anyone who sees an online set and thinks it means anything aren’t worth caring what they think anyway. Yeah it’s a little douchey to upload sets of you beating players online without their permission, but that’s about it.

You prove yourself in offline tournaments or offline when something is on the line, for example a MM. Not in online sets

I don't even think it was the videos in this case, or needing permission -- just the attitude of "OMG SKALP LOOKAT ME!" that annoys people. Like Monk said there's a cool way to do it and a screaming-for-attention way.

I'm not really a fan of this. Online is nothing like offline play and these two arent exactly in their prime anymore.

Deoxys bodies cherny in this game all the time. Wonder if he'll upload those videos. It's only fair.

Y’all really like giving this man shit eh? As if y’all don’t do the same about wins you’ve taken off of tough opponents. We all do. Let the man pop off, and the games are entertaining to watch so I don’t see the reason to have a freaking philosophical debate about this.

Cherny gives shit to everybody on this site. Im sure he can handle it.

And no, I've never uploaded myself beating a top player and I have a couple of times in my career. I think it's in bad taste but whatever.

I hope diversity of opinion is allowed on this site. Wouldn't want to get banned or anything. Thanks for the reaction Espio btw

I definitely do not. Because when I meet someone in ranked it’s an extremely short set, and I have no idea if they’re even trying their hardest, or if they’re testing something new, goofing off on stream, or just killing time.

If it’s a FT10 for props or something, then cool. But I absolutely would not go bragging just because of beating someone in a ranked FT2.

To each their own, though.

I didn't mean top player, I meant any pop-off. Feels good to actually beat someone that's better than you, or was tough to beat.

If you somehow got beef my DMs are open, not sure what the problem is here. I gave my opinion, that's it you don't have to agree with it, but don't act like I force people to agree.

Also, what Buffalo did felt extremely aggressive for no reason and it was in person. Very different, IMO.

No. No problem. Just expressing a difference of opinion and calling out what I thought was hypocrisy but I'm glad you explained yourself.

Never did it before so what is this propaganda? lol
You DQed yourself from KiT, that was disrespectful man, not cool. Imagine the amount of ppl who would love to have the opportunity that you had only to DQ yourself over salt for the game?
Try to be a bit more serious, ignore the bullshit, play on the next tournaments and Skalp those guys, that should've been your target, not ppl who possibly are not interested in havin reputation in this at all.

Welcome to Akihabara
I like it. Stir up shit but you better back that shit up if you meet at a torney lol.

I love a good pop off and a bit of shit talk. It makes the fighting game scene interesting. Makes good stories. Somebody needs to tag DJT and wound. Let's get this shit poppin. As long as it's in good fun and nobody throws hands.
