Remove armor on fatal blows now
Can only be you being too slow. Very nature of frame data means you’ll always win in that scenario if you’re doing it properly.
yeah d1 always works. It does have slightly more range. Neutral jump or jump back isn’t a bad option either.

My apologies I misquoted what ive read in this thread. Otherwise you should never get 70% regadless of how many resources you blow. This is coming from an mk9 cyrax master. It was cheap and fun but definitely not meant for this game.
True but cyrax got that damage of every touch, it was never situational. For this combo to work these things need be right:
  1. you need to access to fatal blow
  2. you need to have two bars
  3. you need to be cornered
  4. you need to punish an at least -17 move
  5. you need to have very good execution, the 23,23 link is really tight
  6. your opponent can‘t have or gain access to rollout during the combo
Quite a lot of conditions. Even blank kabal can get about 60-63% from this kb and you don‘t see people land this often if at all, that‘s why I don‘t want hook grab to be nerfed just because of this.

No he didn't, he got it from standing combos. He got about 22 from antiairs or 40 if he was ready with s1 ex bomb.

It was situational, the problem was that cyrax constantly got the opportunity to force the situation by making you guess after a air net drop.

Proper damage scaling would be more of a normalization than a nerf. This should be a rule of thumb for all characters and it is for the most part (with a few exceptions of course).

I really like kabal in this game, I think he probably one of the best designed characters in this game. ive never had issues fighting him and i really like using him. But from a damage balance standpoint all it requires is a little scaling on hook grab.
I'm not going to rally people together to get this nerfed, just sharing my opinion. Either way I'll play it while its around and have fun with it.
