I actually had the opposite experience. Tried the ps4 version in a friend's house and just stopped after a 25 win streak. Steam has fewer players but they seem to be all at least decent and not total button mashers like many in the ps4.
Well I do imagine That's true and you have more low levels you have to work past.

I'm not ever going to have a 25 win streak in anything and I'm going to be getting bodied a lot on both platforms. So That part of my post probably doesn't apply to me even though I typed it.

Most top players are in the ps4 though. Just like most not so good players as well, psn is just the biggest platform.

What controller are you guys using?
I have a bunch ready to go... I mainly used to use stick and my current PC stick is a Qanba Obsidian. I sorta started using HitBox in IJ2 and when MK11 came out I picked up a MixBox... I really like the MixBox and have been using that for most of MK11. GamePad wise I have a few. My Son uses a Hori Fighting Commander (a six button pad for fighting games) and I also have a XBone Elite and a standard PS4 that I modded.

You can find a number of mods like this https://battlebeavercustoms.com/products/ps4-d-buttons

These basically replace the "disc" system that pretty much ALL pads use. So after the mod if you press one direction the is exactly zero movement on the other buttons.

For me, I've never had an issue finding matches in Multiplayer. I only play Kombat League at this time though, and I typically only play on Sunday afternoons, usually between three to five sets. I actually just tried now (Sunday morning) to see if there would be a difference, and it took slightly longer than normal to find my first match, but nothing to frown over, and after that, it found my next few sets quickly.

I also have been fortunate where I haven't encountered any disconnectors yet. I may have had one lag switcher back in Season 2, but I'm not certain. I live in the greater Toronto area, and I agree it seems most if not all of my random opponents are from overseas. My Ping usually ranges between 150 to 200 (and it's usually in the higher end of that spectrum) and the user names I see lend credit to the overseas belief. I've rarely had a match so laggy that I couldn't play, but better ping would be nice. Only one or two of my matches ever were ones I was forced to accept without an option to decline, since the ping usually isn't optimal.

Typically with fighting games on PC, I do play private sets mostly, usually against a good buddy of mine. Sadly he bought into the Mortal Kombat 11 pre-launch hate train about "political correctness," and refused to buy the game. Shortly after launch he realized he was wrong and let internet sensationalism get the better of him, but he bought other games instead so he'll be picking it up down the road.

For the thoughts on a "dead game," for any game, and I've said this before, I typically find people who say a game is "dead" are usually angry/frustrated at the game for some reason and are venting and trying to add validity to their frustration, or they are not good players at the game and trying to preserve their ego. StarCraft II has been a "dead game" for seven or eight years now, it seems, yet it's still played in many major tournaments and has a steady player base. The PC version of Mortal Kombat X was declared "dead on arrival" almost, and yet it's still being played.

A game isn't "dead" until it really isn't being played anymore. Even then, you can still play Single Player and with friends.

@Raider Agreed, it's a shame nVidia is not addressing this. I recall there being white flashes in Mortal Kombat XL as well, though only in certain tower menus and on the left side of the Training Stage, and they were never resolved. The ones here, sadly, are much more prevalent. I suspect it's something we'll need to live with.

@Arqwart Impressive. I personally always found the Xbox 360's D-Pad attrocious for fighting games. Otherwise, it's a fantastic controller.

With the dead game stuff, it's definitely leveling down to the committed crowd for the title now, but people have been tossing that around for every game that comes out five minutes after the fact. I honestly think with that, and OP, and game balance, and optimized and just about every other buzz world, people just want to use them to sounds smart or something.

Like someone heard the phrase "Dead game", saw that game's players drop off after two weeks, and though "Here is my moment to be relevant, I gots to tell the world about this thing before someone else notices!" Then there is the inevitable "this is normal for FG games" discussion that was just had in an identical thread 48 hours prior. "This game's balance is BUNZZZZ!! Worst ever!" because I wan't to ignore the fact that Scorpion has a teleport. "What the hell NR freaking S?! PLZ!". "I heard the word balance, this seems in balanced so it must be. I should tell the world."

There was a guy in DOA forum that went from "I just spent hours learning this game and it's so fun." To "Nico is awful and can't do ABCDEF or G. She loses because she only has 70ish moves. So slow. Frame data is not real. (<- Actual statement)." That transition took about 48 to 72 hours by the end of which he was the foremost authority on the awful character Nico, and refuted every attempt to explain her by those that seem to think she was high tier.

It's like the people doing it are trying to act hyper involved, aware of the game/scene while actually knowing nothing but a few buzzwords they saw on a Reddit post one day or whatever. Or they are just trying to stir the pot because it's funny how often the same thing comes up over and over. I'm sure there is some of that too, along with the people trying to kill it because it pissed them off.

So I'm actually a 100% heathen and use the analog stick as that's how I originally learned to play UMK3 when it released on Xbox Live Arcade ages ago. The D-Pad feels so foreign to me.

alright guys. found something that will help most people. it does not only works with DX12 games it works with DX11 games also , if you guys been having random high cpu usage or stuttering during gameplay do this fix. ( do not shut down the feature completly , just add the fix by program like the guy does in the video)

with my experience it completly removed all suttering and even boost my fps massively in my DX12 games like:
Batteflield V , Battlefront 2

DX11 games:
MK11,Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Fix is at 1:29

yes , then i rebooted my pc and voila. i had massive fps boost and my cpu usage went down big time. i tested with other games like i said and it worked. this is 100% a microsoft fuck up with windows 10 but again do not turn off Control Flag wide. just specific programs.
Where the hell do you find the .exe file on a steam game? I'm losing my mind D:
