So, you have to be a subscriber to watch the VoD. I checked YouTube and didn't find any footage of it. Perhaps it's still in the process of being uploaded (it is like 6 hours long), but does anyone have a link to any footage?

All of their videos are subscriber-only, but it does seem like they chop a ton of individual matches for Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA0EJayPr-Txjfzy1GLsodQ/videos

No idea how long it'd take to cut the entire stream up, but I guess there's hope that the matches might be up eventually.

Ninjakilla takes his first offline tourney! I'm surprised there aren't a lot of post about these early tournaments like the one at Naptown and NLBC.

Ive been posting tournaments, but everytime it gets brought up, people apparently don't givAshit. Lets be that change. ;)

Congrats to the young brotha!

Lol that sucks. These threads use to be booming!
Yeah the spoiler debacle pretty much killed all the hype around results threads. It went from a big celebration/bonfire about what's broken to basically being 2-3 people making comments and the threads being dead.

I don't get it. I slightly remember the debates about spoilers in the titles, but I kind of disappeared during the IJ2 era. How did the chase everyone away? Now I have to go look at the youtube comments to get any type of discussion about the tournaments.

it has nothing to do with the spoilers in the titles.. it is due to the fact that the entire competitive community , practically, has completely moved away from TYM. Aside from Tweedy, when was the last time I high profile player even posted here. It is Summit of Time and Combo Breaker in a few days and there are exactly zero active threads.

The truth is that the majority of the community has moved away form forum based communication,... this is why shoryuken closed their forums.

Everything is on Twitter and Discord now.

Nah, the threads were still active long after most of said players were gone from TYM. Maybe not 10 pages like the old days, but 3-4. After the spoiler row though, within a year or so we were lucky to get 3 or 4 posts in a results thread. The feeling is just not the same.

yeah I agree it is less.. but I think it is just the steady decline, not anything to do with that. Marking time at the "spoiler" thing is just a reference point, not a trigger event of some sort ... you could have picked anything, like say my kids birthday, and the steady decline already in motion from that point creates a "it was better then" feeling. But my kids birthday had nothing to do with it.... as it is the slow and steady drop in posters and active members and a total absent of tech and actual high profile competitive players that is the cause, imo,

I think TYM needs to partner with Aquaman or someone like that and run an actual high profile weekly online event. completely coordinated here on this site. Get sponsors and all that bring the scene back here somehow.
