MK11 Skarlet Build Discussion

I've been using this build and I wanted to share. I think this build has so much potential to add extra damage output but if you have your own build please drop them down below. Text or pic dosen't matter. I really didn't think I was going to main Skarlet but maaan I love her gameplay

That's interesting.. not too many people have been using Red Mist as the Blood Tentacle has become a crutch for a lot of Skarlet players already.

I actually got rid of Blood Ritual for Cell Ciphon (I think that's the name) I've had a lot of success with Red Rain/Mist Skarlet but I will admit her Blood Tentacle is really superb.

I like to use max range B2 sometimes, it compliments her sweep well and it can catch people out of the air. I suppose with some of her low specials you could be annoying with it too. But you need to land it three times in a row for the KB so that's kinda bad.

Umm..are you saying you can pick and choose your special abilities?
how do you get to that screen to select your abilities?
I thought they were just variation based on the 3 choices at character select.

Go to Kustomize and voila.

I believe you have to land b2 3 times to activate its Krushing Blow.

Not even worth it unless it happens accidentally. lol
I actually love it. B2 can be really good against people that are getting frazzled and impatient (great for spacing out wakeups and slamming down jumping beans) and it's not too hard to land 2 in a row. If the opponent is aware of her KB requirement, they know that a 3rd B2 is gonna hurt and that's your opportunity to B3/B4 when they're not watching their feet. I kinda like the mind game behind it, no matter how basic.

Also, I need to confirm, but I BELIEVE it's 3 B2s consecutively on hit. I swear I've hit a B2, done something else that was blocked, hit another B2, got blocked again doing something else, then hit the 3rd B2 for the KB. I also think that if you get hit (again, need to confirm... this is all anecdotal and just what I feel like I've noticed) you B2 counter gets rest. Anyone know for sure on these ones?

I think three in a row is correct. But it's just not worth being a KB other than for humiliation purposes, imo. I think it does 14% as a KB.

Oh, for sure. Definitely not worth risking your life to hit a 3rd one unless it's for the lulz but B2 does get people to stand and her B3 is deceivingly fast.

It has its uses for sure. It's great for catching people jumping on wakeup. It's likely as punishable as it is because it's probably meant to be a conditioning tool.

I wonder if it's punishable at max range. =O

Max range is a harder punish (easier if they have a good reversal) but at close range it's death X.X

I "labbed" this in tower, I did 2 b2, whiffed a d1 on purpose then B2 again, no KB. Are you really sure about this ? It is difficult to reproduce the pattern you described against the CPU but I'm pretty sure I already did that online and I don't remember getting a KB as a result.

The b2 KB is a high risk/medium reward move, and it's probably the worst KB in the beta build lol. There is no reason to use it unless you are playing a careless jumping bean

I think it's like fucking -17. I almost shat myself when I saw that in the frame data. Full. Combo. Punishable.
Yea, it's gross. I really abused it and experimented a lot in the Stress Test but this go around I'm being a little more conservative with it.

Oh, I could be totally off. I messed with it a bunch in the stress test but haven't given it too much attention in the beta. Coulda sworn I hit a two B2s, then a string blocked after, and the next B2 fired off the KB. I'll try to confirm that when I get on this afternoon unless anyone does beforehand. Also completely possible that I'm crazy (because I am).

I am able to get the KB consistently landing it 3 times in a row, anything in between whether it's you hitting the opponent or not seems to end it entirely. What a useless move lmao. Who at NRS thought that people would unironically get hit 3 times in a row by a 22 frame overhead?

(I completely agree with you, btw)

Ask me about my Mileena agenda.
Yeah, I've been a fan of running Red Mist Skarlet against mainly Scorpion since a whiffed Blood Tongue against him practically hands out free teleport punishes. Didn't have much luck running it against anyone else in the beta since Tongue is such a crucial tool to keep them the HELL away from me.

I agree with this. I think tentacle is better, overall, but every Skarlet player should have one loadout that features red mist, mainly to deal with strong counter-zoners.
