Hi all,
I upgraded my PC today, doubling my Ram and replacing my video card. I now have a:
- Intel Core i5 4440 3.10 GHz
- 16 GB Ram
- nVidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Windforce OC 6G
- Windows 10 Home October 2018 Update
Interestingly, after the hardware upgrade, my Controller is no longer working.
For years I've used the Hori Gempad EX for Xbox 360, an older pad and one that's officially never been supported for PC, but it always worked. Now for some reason it doesn't, and nothing I've tried has resolved this.
Device Manager originally recognized it by name since it was working before, but of course there are no Driver updates or anything for it. I Uninstalled it and hoped that Windows 10 would automatically re-install as a last resort, but no dice and now it no longer recognizes the device by name either.
If anyone has any troubleshooting suggestions, please go ahead!
Otherwise, assuming it's no longer an option for my PC, I'm looking for Controller recommendations. How's the Xbox One Controller, since I know that's properly PC supported? Being a wireless Controller, I'm assuming it connects via a USB cable? I don't own an Xbox One, or any current generation console, so if I went and bought a new Xbox One Controller, would it work out-of-the-box?
Thanks!
