( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

This is my setup:

He's getting old tho :(
Ohh, that's pretty!

Sucks there's not much you can do to upgrade a laptop, that's why I also went for towers. You can play in its guts without much of a hassle.

Yeah. I needed the mobility back when I bought it though so I went for a laptop. It's 5 years old now so new games won't run anymore. I'm gonna try to mod it with a newer gfx card though. Several people have done it and posted it online so I'll try to do it instead of going for a new laptop.

I used to game on a laptop as well when I was in Uni, mine had a bad overheating problem tho. If you can switch out the GPU that could help it a lot, what GPU and CPU are in it right now? If you can replace it with a 1070 and your processor is still pretty fast it could do the trick.

Very nice! Asus is a really good brand, I've always used them for my MOBOs.

My roommate is a huge tech geek so I had him tell me the best shit to buy (like 2 or 3 years ago) and so we have the exact same PC build as each other. My power supply is different tho (better) cause he already had an old one.

But yeah, I'm a fan of ASUS.

That mobo is beautiful, damn I love ASUS.

They're already up to 2080? It must be expensive as HELL, but I bet it'll be worth it in a few years when the price goes down. I paid 600$ for my 1070 3 years ago and I thought that was an insane amount.

Yeah it is cool because its black and white and my case is black with a white psu shroud. Def is way overpriced but I can not go any longer with my 970 and 3.5gb of vram. If I was smarter I would have bought a gtx 1080ti before my monitor as they sold out or got a crazy price increase.

Amazon has a interest free 5 monthly payment plan that I use its first month payment plus tax and the rest is divided into equal payments.

Yeah, that's not enough for most games these days. I would get a GTX 1070 for half the price, you'll still be good for a while with that card and your CPU is fast enough, faster than mine even.

It's my working and gaming station same goes for my laptop. I use my PS4 Pro and Xbox One X as a footrest, probably the best function for both, didnt use them in months outside work.

No idea honestly i dont keep track of it coz i swap parts like every few months for better ones (if there are better ones). Latest change was the 2x GTX 2080 Ti (from my 2 GTX 1080 Ti), that i remember costing like 2800 euro.

Just something to keep in mind, that series is all about ray tracing. I've watched many comparison videos with ray tracing on vs ray tracing off, it's quite a subtle difference to say the least. Just know that that's mainly what you're paying for.

Here's a bench with that card vs a $200 cheaper GTX 1080, and it only nets 14% more frames.

That's true, newer tech is often overpriced for the slight amount of difference, but you're also paying for the VRAM cause in some cases it will affect FPS. And let's be honest, we also often pay for RBGs XD

I think at this point, his rig is SSGSS level.

What can i say im a freak.

I enjoy playing at 4K with max everything and/or if a game has a really good SLI scaling at 100+ fps (one of my monitors is 4K 144 Hz G-sync, Acer Predator x27). Probably why i never even bother with turning on any of my consoles (beside on the go Switch).
