Apparently! Uncle JBeezY came across Max's video on my lunch break. With YouTube's new guidelines, having future MK content looks grim. And thats HORRIBLE news for ppl who like to show off tech, cool brutalities, ANYTHING Mortal Kombat! What does this mean for MK11 and the NRS community !?Question mark!? I, for one, am hella upset at this bull! What do you guys think? Is there any other ways to get around this?

Watch the vid and lets have a discussion.

does dailymotion have the same guidelines?
I mean, i guess that would be an alternative. I don't think they would have guidelines but alot of ppl use Youtube for their video source of EVERYTHING including me. Especially since i also make content as well, this will really deter me for even making MK11 content in the future :(

They'll just introduce categories like violence and so on, and people will be warned / able to exclude those things for their kids' sake.

This is just a very bad decision that I hope will now pave the way for competing services. All this does is stifle the FGC. It's not even that youtube have banned these types of videos, they will still exist, so it does nothing to protect minors. The only thing this move will do is line youtube's pockets with more money instead of the uploader.

The tag "Mortal Kombat" and various other tags surrounding it are not enough to get a video demonetized. I test this out in many of my videos (I am Rooflemonger on YT) and sneak in various tags at times to see what works and what does and have for the last 6 months or so.

That said your invisible YT standing also plays a huge part into this. You don't get to know what your YT standing is at all either so that's fun. Used to be during around the marvel vs capcom infinite launch, i'd have every third or fourth video demonetized. After I very literally complained 50+ times via email and YT direct line, I haven't had a single video demonetized for my last 100 or so videos, so I now know I am in the higher tier of "YT friendliness" where the demonetization algorithm cuts me more slack than the usual YT channel.

That said there is more to it than just tagging and there is an audio/visual component to it. If you show anything like a fatality that's excessively gory you could get demonetized no matter your tags.

Y'know, I really hope that NRS has paid attention to the years of people wanting better music, because I am tired of MK only having that one damn iconic song, and that was from the movie!

Are you not entertained!?
I don't get it. So it is a copyright thing? Isn't streaming a game creating your own content? How's that gonna work? And what about tournament videos?

Youtube cares about Youtube.

For reals though, just because it hasn't been censored or anything before doesn't prevent Youtube from doing it now, and if they think it's for the best then I guess it's their decision to make. I'm kinda alright with it. Some people would say I don't care, which maybe true as well I guess.

I think it's kinda fair if they're reducing the exposure violent video games get in order to... idk, stop kids from watching it I guess. Or something like that. It makes a little bit of sense in my head, and understand why people don't agree with it though.
