The Malibu Mortal Kombat Comics with Tabmok99

HellblazerHawkman

Confused Thanagarian

If, like me, you were a wee child during the 90s, you probably didn't know about the MK comics Malibu put out to get in on the Mortal Kombat hype train that was moving strong during that time. If you wanted to see the written world before the stellar MKX prequel comic, tabmok99 has got you covered.

In this video, tabmok compares the original comic that Midway put out with this Malibu series and looks at why the Malibu one wasn't as well-received. He also goes the 'optimal' reading order for the Malibu series so that you can get most out of this weird experiment with the Mortal Kombat storyline. You'd be shocked at how much of this series survived in one form or another. Check it out for yourself down below and follow tabmok99 on Twitter to catch some more Classic Mortal Kombat content.

Live by the sword, Die by the sword
I actually had that comic when I was a kid. I'm so mad I lost so many comics back in the 90's.

I have some of the malibu 90's comics, they're not bad sucks that non of them are canon with the exception to the video game tie in ones (MK1, 2, MK4, etc, etc)

I still have this. In pieces because it was one of the poorest prints ever. I literally just opened the book and the pages fell out. Took it back, got another, opened that too... lol.

Wow really crazy stories there, they were non-canon but still good for what they were. Good stuff.
