So can someone explain what Raph can get off the posted vortex? All I see is a double dash cancel into a crossover j2. I get that I can go high or low (11 or f213), but how is this optimal compared to d2, b3, j3, ender?

Is this supposed to be used to keep pressure on with him?

This character's 50/50 pseudo-vortex restands on stages with a BGB are absolutely disgusting.
I can see that, and with BGB you don't really NEED hype to keep them guessing. Opener, BGB, B123, TC (turtle cancel), 50/50, BGB is you're right.

Am I correct?

That's exactly what I was figuring.

Have we figured out how to safely get hype yet? I don't want to keep doing it after bf3. Do B23 or 13 provide safe hype?
Nothing aside from ending a conno with a special cancel-able string into hype guarantees it.

I was thinking even more basic. If I'm not mistaken, s1 is +2 on block, so you can either do the 1,1 string or stagger s1 into f2 for a low/overhead mixups that way on restand. You can technically poke out of this, but if your opponent starts doing that then you can just d1xxBGB instead.

LOL, I overcomplicated it. I like what you have, may have to mix it in to what I said as well. Mix it up!

1. I think I'm cancelling the turtling too fast. I actually have to press forward 3 times to get it to cancel properly. Any suggestions?

2. What are you using for a reliable anti-air? I've been experimenting with D2, seems to work pretty well and easy B3 off of it.

Oh, and do we have a Ninja Turtles Guild or no? If not, who's creating one? I haven't even joined a guild yet and I have had the game since day 1.

You don't need to rush to TC, do it gradually [5 times each step, if you miss go back to 0]:
* b1,2~db1
* b1,2~db1 [hold]
* b1,2~db1 [hold] ff
* b1,2~db1 [hold] ff b1,2 or 2,1u3 or 1,1,2 or f2,1,3
 
Did anyone else see mr aquaman corpse hop with ralph after landing a dvk? Has anyone tried recreating this? I'll look into it tomorrow night but just wondering if anyone has

1) You have to delay the cancel a bit, like as soon as you see his head go into the shell you put in the input for the cancel.
2) D2 is a great anti-air. Low profiles a lot of stuff and causes some D1s to whiff. Their J1 is also a godlike air to air.

J1 is the go to air to air I think. Plus they have to respect dvk whiff cancel. D2 is really good for aa jump ins, even catwomans j2 which is insane but up close its inconsistent and gets stuffed. Harley and donny are a great example. I need an answer for ppl jumping in my face that's not jump back 1. S3 or s2 might work. Also d3 low profiles really well so I've been doing that to completely dodge the jump in. Am i the only one that feels this way?

Also ia 3 whiff cancel into dvk is a nice aa if their jump moves are slow and blue beetles trait j1 fuck that move

What are the frames on cancelling the restand into MB Hype to end a combo? I'd check but I'm not at the console rn.

Just a thought. Anyone look into doing a stage bounce combo and seeing if you can level up a hype and cancel into trait combo before they land?

I don't know if it's known already you can actually combo After b2 turtle stance dash cancel. It's a super hard link though
