NRS Plz Fix Ivy's Datura Hammer MB(Huge Problem)

So many people are unaware of this issue with ivy and it needs to be fixed. I dont see anybody but myself punishing it because no one knows it. When Ivy does a blockstring into a cancel like straight or swinging datura and mb's it to be safe, you can backdash in between the mb part after about 3 hits or so and get a punish. I believe every character in the game can punish it and its a serious problem. Reason being is we're spending meter to be safe and then they can just backdash and full combo punish it, they need to get rid of the gap in it, so that you can't backdash and punish it. Also they need to fix the pushback on datura hammer mb, there should only be very little pushback on it, so that they stay in it until it is over, a lot of times i would be mb'ing it on block and the opponent just happens to get pushed out of it and full combo punishes me. Its dumb and needs fixed. I believe this is ivy's only big issue. I ask plz to fix this NRS

The gap never made sense to be, but at the same time, NO ONE punishes it lol.

It’s almost as if Ivy players are the only ones who know about this

I’ve been punished for it a lot actually. Especially by one of my good friends, he always knows when to backdash and it kinda bothers me. So now I only use it in the corner

Couldn't agree more.

Make her Mr Bitey spit balls more plus on block and push block reduce timer by half.

Make her low datura ball safe, just the launching one punishable - gives her some mix ups from strings without silly risk/reward.

Bed of thorns on mb recovers alot quicker.

Make her F2 a mid.

These changes would make her super good and in line with the other strong characters. Her trait is now not just for zoning chip but a powerful aggressor tool allowing her to have very strong pressure when trait is summoned.

agree, very good changes. In mu's like starfire, her trait is completely useless

nah, don't make her trait projectiles plus on block, then if she pretty much catches you fulls screen with it you won't be able to move between her ground burst attack and her trait.

You cant move once SG hits trait mb either. Its just chip at that point.

its much shorter than that, also the amount of meter being built from it would be pretty dumb too

and besides, trait has never been her issue.
SGs is almost instantaneous on startup, Ivy can't just pop it after a string on block or randomly in neutral unless she has a long window. I bring it up because the outcome is very similar (chip and meter build) but SGs is just far easier and accessible in neutral and during pressure chains.

How in anyway shape or form is my suggestion, demanding that both tools be mirrored.

I want the tools to be different, currently the best way to utilise ivys trait is to be summon it full screen and chip with it.

This is largely due to the fact that pushblock stops it completely.

Her core issue is she has no mix and its hard to make good use of her plus frames.

With a ground game as good as ivys you cant give her a great anti air anyway.

Ivy needs a lot of love, but the dev team thinks she's fine and full of dirt... so much that they added one of the worst moves in the game to her arsenal already featuring bad moves and arguably the worst move in the whole game, and called it a day because now she had a punishable mid wakeup leading to absolutely nothing useful on hit.

Datura hammer in general has a very clunky design and datura pressure is a gimmick once opponents know what's happening, not to mention the character is among the hardest to execute in the game just to fail at a lot of things, so she isn't even a good pocket character as the time investment to master her isn't worth it just for a couple match ups.

Yes, It's very sad. NRS needs to do something with her. She needs to be viable. Way too many bad mu's for her to even stand a chance at winning anything with her alone. I'm just really hoping people can get stuff like this out there and Im praying that NRS actually does something with her next patch.
