Firestorm buff wish list

EntropicByDesign

It's all so very confusing.
Mained him week 1. His cringe trash talk and clash quotes makes him fucking unbearable to play my god. massive respect for FS mains
Ya know, this is something I've run up against a few times myself. Robin, WoWo and few others grate on my nerves. Personality and quotes and such have nothing to do with effectiveness obviously, but gawd help me I cannot play a character I hate.

Why does his meter burn fire ball go away if your hit and why is it a high. Literally fixing those 2 things is all I think he really "needs"

Would it be too unreasonable if Firestorm's psycho crusher would, say, high-profile attacks like Deadshot's low rifle or Green Arrow's low arrows? It would make those particular zoning matchups a little more honest and a little less lopsided in favor of the zoner, no more just spamming hard to punish moves with plenty of pushback to keep the game at their pace...

We're all from Earthrealm. If not, cool pic brah.

doesn't reversal melty toes do the same thing in most instances, except gives you full combo, and is safe on block?

also... insta air psycho crusher will high profile low shots as well

Id be happy with only one of the following

112 being made hmm

Ex fireball mid and doesn't go away on hit

Mt df2 (only to make d1mt easier)
Love this but with some differences:

- change Molten Trap from BD2 to DB1
- change Energy Shield from DB1 to DD1

(these will never happen, I know. NRS never change the input of a move. I don't know why using this weird input only on Firestorm)

You can choose what level of trait using with a direction.
And change the properties of the trait like:
- level 1: energy recovery
- level 2: damage boost
- level 3: the same level 3 that we know

(this will never happen, lol)

D2 is a better anti-air.

I guess I play Necromancer now.. PSN: ArmedCalf
Literally just a better d2 is all he needs. If we're being really greedy then give him a dope jump in as well because 8f is ass, but the d2 problem would make certain MU's way more doable.

Someone said this months ago, but he should start with his full trait so we can at least use it twice a match instead of once. Think about how often Black Canary uses her level 3 trait and Firestorm's is a joke in comparison.
Canary's blockable unarmored single hit and sole zoning tool combo starter trait makes firestorms buff everything, grant healing, create launching 50/50 mixups, and no risk to activate trait look like a joke just because she gets more than one per match?!

Yes, her several-use, fullscreen, fast-startup, full combo starter for around 50% damage that can also be hit-confirmed into up close and makes her 50/50's safe while leading into a strong meaty vortex is MUCH better than Firestorm's 10-second buff that grants low-damaging still unsafe 50/50's temporarily, grants 1% health per second, recharges once or maybe twice a match, has majorly unsafe activation without meter, and doesn't recharge between rounds. That is what we're saying.

firestorm is top 5, people dont play him for the usual stupid reasoning. He legit needs NO buffs.

1 bar of trait at the start

Trait builds during the end of a round

With one of the above 2, trait doesnt start to drain untill the recovery frames are over

F1332 +1 (the gap the no one exploits wouls make this fair)

Mt df2 (only to make d1mt easier)

Increase the hit box on burst
bro exfireball with trait is pretty gnarly damage and rediculously fast there is no need to make it a mid. I have been messing with this dude lately and hes got a lot of options, I am surprised people dont play him more! But ya for me, only wish is they do something about his trait... you build it an entire match get a restand or something then boom clash... Same problem I have with raiden: Trait adds a lot of utility but how do u turn it on and use it/not get clashed (in firestorms situation)

Ok, so what's up with this character?

  • a decent projectile
  • airdash (even though its kinda shitty)
  • overhead/low mixups which are much better with level 3 trait
  • long ranged d1 (7 frames but with that kinda range its perfectly fine)
  • staggers
  • good wakeup
  • good meterbuild
  • + frames and restands
On paper he seems to have basically everything he needs and yet no one uses him?

He is desperate for a strong d2.

He is also hard to defend with because his backdash isn't the best and a 7frame d1 means he has to hold plus frames more than most.
