Your ideal roster and mechanics for MK11

This makes absolutely no sense at all.

What does this even mean? Almost like if MKX was your first game ever.
It was my first "real" fighting game I got into and learned all the fighting game lingo for. I played mk9 but for fun, not knowing what 1234 meant or frame data what was best to do and when to do it and other such things to play fighting games at a higher level.

The former is nothing new, the latter is universal for any 2D FG except, obviously, MK. I honestly don't see a problem, especially if you consider that you don't design characters before basic mech.

I want a game as similar to mk9 as possible, by far my favorite nrs game in years. Fast pace gameplay, take away run or atleast give back the ability to dash super fast. And adding universal jumps with the sweet frontflip/backflip motions.


Also the roster should be mk9s roster minus skarlet, sheeva, freddy, and cybersub.

Add goro, tremor, and MAYBE a few mkx guys that people love

Characters like: Sonya, JC, Jax, Scorpion, subzero, Lao are out of the rooster and replaced with the new generation characters: Cassy, Jaquie, Takeda, Frost, Kungjin.

Adding long awaited characters to the main rooster like Noob, Rain, Baraka, Sindal, Smoke, Stryker.

Consistent AA
No more variation system
universal neutral jump punch
moderate zoning
strong anti zoning
balance between offensive and defensive characters (each character should have at least 2 hard counters)
No more corner clone cheese
No more 50/50 on top of 50/50
No more armor launchers
More balanced damage scaling
No more non meter dependent characters that hit like a truck
No more meter dependent characters that have stupid high damage scaling
Overall no more characters with dump advantage like pre patched Alien and Mileena


S tier: Dark Raiden, Fujin, Reptile, Shang tsung, Quan Chi

A+ tier: Subzero, Scorpion, Noob, Smoke, Rain, Kenshi

A- tier: Sindal, Stryker, Baraka, Liu kang, Kano

I know nobody cares about the story but show some love to the lore, get some decent writers and make something interesting and badass. That is all.

A lot of people do care about the story. NRS and WB do better stories then any other fighting game company.

I dunno man, i did not like Mkx's story one bit. Only liked the ending but that's obviously cuz of my massive Raiden hard-on.

That doesn't nean a thing. MK9, IJ1,MKX and IJ2 all had great stories. You might perfer one over the other ans that is fine, but they are all great.

MKX story was not great compared to MK9 imo. I like inj story better then INj2. But in my opinon, MKX had the weakest story of them all. What they did with Kotal, Cassie, and most of the characters in it were Jobbers.

Someone suggested Pennywise as DLC. I think that's an interesting idea, considering guest characters are pretty much a certainty, NRS may as well make the most of it. The rights are already owned by WB, furthermore a sequel to the movie is almost a certainty after the way it's been crushing the box office, giving another way to promote the character.

The character itself is also pretty interesting, (although I never read the book) I know it can take various forms bird/spider/shark/werewolf etc, giving way to some interesting moves and gameplay mechanics. It could basically be the R version of beast boy, which I think could be a cool addition to the cast, seeing as how we're probably not getting BB for fighter pack 3 :(

Non Horror DLC and No Injustice 2 DLC. We MK fans had tolerated enough b***** DLC. If they include any Injustice DLC... It will "taint" Injustice image because those chars can't handle gore... And no more Horror DLC because... They will be downplayed horribly like Jason and Alien... and They don't really fit the MK design.
I like the horror dlc....

Guys, tell us here which would be your perfect roster for the next Mortal Kombat game, MK11!

If you are too lazy to write all the names, just tell the chars that you want to make it in the game no matter what:p

Also, add how do you want the game to be in terms of mechanics (more like mk9, mkx or some mixture, if you want run mechanic back or not, etc...explain!)
I'm not thinking logic-wise, this is just a dream scenario of stuff I want

Characters I'd like to see come back:
-Noob Saibot
-All the robots (or tribot)
-Cassie Cage
-Kenshi
-Bo' Raicho
-Frost
-Erron Black
-Ferra/Torr
-Mileena

As for DLC, I really like all the horror stuff even though a lot of people hate it. If I could see any horror character make it into the game, my top pick would be Pennywise, although I would love to see Michael Myers make it in there as well. I wouldn't mind an Injustice character making it in either, but I doubt they'd do it since there's so much gore in the game. If there WAS a chance though, I think the joker might be able to fit in (I'm a bit biased since he's my main lol)

But the most important thing for me on top of everything else is new characters and new mechanics :D

I didn't like the MKX kids but they're likely coming back. I'd like Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung to come back. Tremor on the main roster would be cool too. And Sub will be there anyway :D

I wouldn't mind run button going away, jump ins and 50/50 should be toned down compared to MKX. I wasn't a fan of variation system but if they make 2 variations that actually complement each other that would be pretty good.
the only mkx kid I really enjoyed playing was cassie tbh but they're probably all coming back :/

I like that damn run button. Not fond of the dashes.
It just felt clunky to get into the groove of the game. I mean, you already have to hold a button to block, now another to run? Im oldschool where we hold BACK to block, and holding another button to block is too much for me.

Well, I adapt kind of fast in FGs. I'm a retro one, AND a modern gamer. This weekend I played Street Fighter II w/ Nivek. ;)

Im pretty savy myself in FGs but im a Sagittarius lol Therefor, ill adapt, but that dont mean i do not LIKE that adaption.
