Injustice 2 ESL tournaments potentially coming to Xbox?

Earlier today, Major Nelson (the reputable source of xbox gaming news) tweeted about the recent Injustice 2 patch, drawing particular attention to the fact that it introduced xbox arena compatability to Injustice 2.

Xbox arena is a platform on Xbox one, where tournaments can be organised and ran straight through the console.

In the tweet, they also mention "upcoming events run by ESL".

So, it looks like Xbox One players will finally be able to get in on some tournament action.

We'll be keeping an eye out for more regarding this, and will be sure to circulate any more news on the matter.

There's been a ton of ESL tournaments with 0 prizes in the last year. I wouldn't get my hopes up on anything major, but if so i'm gonna have to get me a copy lol.

Community cups. Unless MS decided to hand over a nice big bag of money, competitive Injustice will probably stay on PS4.

Xbox really needs this. With the FGC abandoning ship, some Injustice tournaments with prizes(which I am sure ESL will have prizes) would be a nice start to getting some back and playing on Live.

There will be plenty of players if/when ESL has cash prizes. There are a lot of good players on XBox already, and a lot of pros will enter if there is money to be won.

All XBox One's including the One X will have Arena. There will be no separation of tournaments.
