It's the biggest. It's the baddest (meaning most badass)! And it's less than one month away...

Ladies & Gents, EVO 2017 is right around the corner and register has closed. Don't panic though, you can still register at the event.

Also, Mr. Wiz took to twitter to announce the final preregistration numbers and it's safe to say that we will be seeing the 2nd largest NetherRealm Studios turnout in our history. Over 800+ players will be competing. Ahhhh... just thinking about it... and that hype train. Are you ready?

There were 300 more entrants for mkx in 2015 no?
Yup. This is what happens when everyone thought it was going to be 2/3, the 3/5 change wasn't really officially announced, Injustice 2 at EVO itself was hardly advertised, and the biggest issue is that finals are on Saturday. There's no reason Marvel or BB should be on Sunday over Injustice 2.

MVC3 and BB are on Sunday over IJ2??? With all due respect to those games, IJ2 is a lot newer, and MVC3 would be taken out of tournaments (at least to the larger degree) due to MVCI coming out later this year (and that's if MVCI is going to sell enough units so that people would actually consider to play at a high level, considering the very possible condition that MVCI is going to be at launch). Seriously, those EVO guys should stop treat us like crap. Enough already!!!!

Mvc is on Sunday because they raised the most money. They put the first slot on Sunday up for grabs and whoever donated more to charity got it.

I know that, but why BB is on Sunday? That game has even less players then either IJ2 or UMVC3 and that didn't have any money raise campaign attached to it.

NRS games aren't usually popular with the wider fighting game community and majority of NRS players prefer MK to Injustice as well.
I also prefer MK over IJ, that's how I will always be, but if IJ2 is the only NRS game to be at EVO, as well as the only American game to be there for that matter, and NRS/WB only have increased their focus on the competitive side with IJ2 and the Pro series and all of that stuff (plus all they've done with MKX like the ESL and all), there is no reason for IJ2 to be on Saturday rather then Sunday. The EVO guys who are clearly pro Capcom guys do this out of disrespect. They don't show it to Tekken despite Tekken being the only game that can compete with SF5 aside from IJ2 (perhaps that's because Capcom and Namco are in good relationship). IJ2 should be on Sunday, period.

Guilty Gear is an amazing game tho. Watching that Robin Whiff issues

Say what you want about SFV but I have yet to see a "Ken whiffs sweeps on tall characters, overhead on short characters and shoryuken sometimes just whiffs right through people" thread on shoryuken.
I don't see any of that stuff for IJ2 if that's what you're trying to say. And SF5 is indeed a trash game, with the Capcom marketed this game just for competitive guys and treated everyone else like crap, and even the competitive guys have noted the the same negative points that the casuals have pointed at it. IJ2, just like any NRS/WB game has more then enough for both competitive and casuals.

Why do you guys think there are less entrants for i2 than mkx?
What @Roy Arkon said. And the fact that a large amount of people whine about zoning and spread a lot of hate...since they for some odd reason expect a comic book fighter to be a martial arts game. Lol

Also Injustice is not an Asian made fighting game...and for some reason American made fighters get shunned and are not taken seriously around the world compared to Asian FGs.

So there is one thread, big deal. Like other fighting games like SF5 don't have similar issues from time to time.
Honestly, no I cant remember this kind of issue in any other game. Issues in SFV are like "zomg look at birdie's necklace, the polygons go into his chest rofl what a crap job" And its not just Robin who has whiffing issues. If NRS wants to have really competitive players flocking to their game they cant have BS like this in here. I really really am enjoying injustice. But crap like this, not pew pew from deadshot is what takes away from the experience for me.

lol it doesn't matter how much people like SFV, it is still Street Fighter. We are never going to compete numbers-wise with Street Fighter and that isn't how we should be appraising ourselves unless we're masochists.
The problem isn't with SF getting more numbers, the Smash games also have a lot more numbers, so that's not the issue. The problem is that despite IJ2 being a much newer game then BBCF and UMVC3 and has more numbers then each of them, it's still on Saturday, and it's because that the EVO guys disrespect the NRS community and it's games, so they don't advertise the game enough for EVO and make sure that people won't mind that it doesn't show on Sunday.

I see that you've ignored the video I've just showed you. Guess you just hear and see what you want to hear and see.

NRS games are as competitive as they should be. Every game has this kind of stuff just like in the SF5 vid I've just showed you. I guess that means we should give Capcom and SF5 the same treatment right? And as for the Zoning, there are ways to deal with it just like in any game. That's not what gonna kill a game.

And for the record, polygon issues don't help that much either.

As someone who also plays SFV then you haven't been paying attention lol. There are tons of hitbox/hurtbox issues in SFV that they've been fixing over the life of the game.
