Why Tournament Standard Console is PS4?

Im curious why are injustice or netherrealm in general all been ps4 why does Xbox never have any tournaments?are they sponsoren by Sony or Something i remember in 2015 mkx was xbox but now its always ps4...

Long story short, Sony got the exclusive rights to Street Fighter V. Pretty much sealed the deal on PS4 being the console of the fighting game community.

Yeah it's because of SF5 being on PS4, they don't wanna buy two consoles for no reason. Maybe if KI was more popular we would see some Xboxs.

I mean, look online. Simply put in terms of raw numbers, PS4 is simply the more popular console, both within the FGC, but well beyond. It's really not surprising.

I believe that the first season of ESL was on Xbox, because they sponsored the series at least in part if I'm not mistaken, but since then PS has sponsored many events including CEO right now (I believe PS4 is one of the primary sponsors of the whole I2 pro series).

Plus, I'd bet if you look online in terms of raw number of players for each console for NRS games, PS4 is way ahead.

Either way it doesn't really matter for in person events because I'm fairly certain converters allow you to use whatever pad, stick, hitbox etc. you want.

I guess it only really matters for online events, but in that case, if you're a truly serious competitor, why not go where the opportunities are and where the high level players are? If you're at the level where that is truly an issue for you, well then it's simply an investment.

The reason I like it is because it's easier to roll your thumb like DF BF DB etc. doesn't feel natural on PS4 but the hori fightpad is clutch. I'm glad it's finally out for the xb1

Sony paid big for SF5, and all comps feature SF5. Not so much with the Killer Instinct, so there's no reason for a shitload of TWO consoles.

As for I2, so far all performance issues (freeze-ups, stutters) have been on PS4, not my Xbone, so it's not performance, it's money.

But PS controllers are shit, though, lol.

I'm more of a tech master race and I value the technology above of all, so... PC>PS4>X1>Switch.

I like the PS4 pad for Uncharted, it feels nice to use for most games.

But the d-pad is absolutely terrible, using it for Injustice is awful imo.

Well this guy just gave you 3 good reasons. As for the pads, he's right too. I said I wasn't gonna start an argument about it so I won't but yea I gave my reason why I don't like the Xbox pad not just say "I don't like it". If you wanna play on a bulky ass softball then be my guest lol. Anyways carry on.

Dunno about u guys with the controllers, but the PS4 d-pad works for me. The Xbox ones doesn't fit me well. I have small, yet powerful hands.
