Because it:
1. Costs a bar
2. Doesn't actually attack the opponent
3. Is relatively telegraphed
4. Is punishable on a read
5. Is available to every character
6. Is stage dependant.
Now paulo enjoys the idea and decides to put on the next franchise available in all stages.
And this is not punishable, he still has armor when he is on the ground attacking, it practically allows him to attack while armor is still active.
Avaliability to every character doesn't meant its good.

...

But that's not we have hear. It's not a "slippery slope".

And yes, it is punishable. They lose the armour before they hit the ground. I went into training mode and was able to punish it as both Cassie and Jacqui so I dunno what you're talking about. Have you even taken this to training mode and investigated this a little bit?

This stage interaction isn't broken. We're not talking about a ridiculous universal mechanic that is heavily abused, we're talking about 1 stage interaction which takes a bar of meter and stamina and has the limitations oi mentioned before. I fail to see how it's particularly broken. It went from having 0 use, to having a niche use.
