*this thread will be a work in progress*

What this thread will be is as follows:

  • NetherRealm titles listed, under the title, the top 10 (roughly) players listed and under their name, the links to all of their victory threads.
  • i.e. SonicFox w/ all of his victory threads listed in order by year/time, under him.
  • The goal of this thread is to help organize and appreciate one's accomplishments.
I will accept any assistance given. If anyone wants to help, simply pick a top player i.e. FOREVER KING and go through the Tournament & Events Aftermaths forum and put in links to the event that he won, etc.

Sonic Fox -
formerly known as "Sawnik Faux" back in his early competitive days of Mortal Kombat 9.

Whatever works - as it goes this will undoubtedly be refined. This thread will never be 100% finished. The idea is to make it like you're opening an NRS player history book, etc.

I'm not one to boast, but fuck, this is one of the reasons I Specialize in what I do on TYM. Special thanks to @Tim Static who was my 2nd hand man for quite a while.

My point is, if I was a top player, it would be awesome to be able to look back at a site that covered my event w/ such care. Granted, I haven't done a tremendous job - there are likely some tournaments missing some coverage/threads, but for the most part if you look through the forums at a major event that you won... there is likely a tournament thread that you can look back on and be proud of.

Anyway... I digress... @Pig Of The Hut @xKhaoTik what I was aiming for is above. I started on SonicFox. Click on the spoiler. This is what I am aiming for, except it is not nearing finished. I'd like to insert bios, twitter, major awards, interviews, etc... all eventually. I'm thinking this may be best done alphabetically, but we'll see over time.

I also do NOT want to count any locals at this point. This should be for all major tournaments only... it's already a shit load to track down.

I know @CrimsonShadow has an interview of me somewhere here. It was back in MK9 when I was performing well.

9th KIT 2017
Qualified for Kombat Cup season 1 finals.

It'll be cool to look back on my little MKX accomplishments now that I won't be an online only guy for so long on Inj 2. I think when MKX is done i'll probably be the best player with the least accomplishments. Not trying to be that guy on Inj 2.

I'd really like some help in getting this thread back up and running.

Sadly, since I took a large break in 2018... there are barely any threads for those events unless they were not made in the Aftermaths forum, which really sucks. I guess it's all in individuals Twitter posts now.

We really need to keep those threads going now... whether it's just thrown together or a @HellblazerHawkman @Charybdis @KingKhrystopher done-up post.

Stuff like reminds me of the Power Rankings or w/e they have on smashboards.com

People enter their wins on the forum, enter how many entrants there were ect, and you are awarded points for that "season" of the power rankings system. It makes it so you could easily see online who the best players of a region are AND it also promotes tournaments more.

Not only that but you get to see who the best player with each individual character is too.

I'd love if TYM did something similar to this and threads like these are a great start! Great idea on bringing the thread back up before MK11 @STORMS

@Circus we could add that system to TYM. @Jaxel developed it...

This is something I wanted to do before but not many people were for it. However, I might have to get this in time for MK11. Would you be up for helping maintain it by chance @Circus ?

If a system like this was in place, I'd be more than happy to help maintain it lol.

I may purchase the thing tonight... when it's installed in our new version of TYM I may end up appointing you (among others) to be in charge of it.

That sounds AWESOME!!!

Here's to hoping that people will use it. It's such a great way to promote hype and longevity for a game. I credit smashboards.com's system to the longevity of Melee tbh.

Points per win is a deeply flawed ranking system that doesn’t come close to telling you who the best players are.

There are much better ways to rank people if you really want to get an idea of who’s performing the best.
