I know theres probably more optimal but this is what I;ve come up with thus far just messing around:

Ruthless:
Corner:

All this is just a few things I've found so far. I think it's all optimal or pretty close.

Best Vicious punish I've found so far for a bar. It's so much stronger than any meterless punish I've discovered that I think Vicious should prioritize meter mostly for punishes.

Fullscreen ex Bowl Girl starter combo.

Ending after ex Ferra Toss confused me at first cuz Vicious/Ruthless can't use any specials without Ferra. This just illustrates how to end after ex Ferra Toss out of most anything when you don't want to switch sides...

and when you do want to switch sides.

d.2 is now +4 on block. I am absolutely incorporating this nonsense into my oki and neutral game, just for fun. My main idea right now is to use this advantage to pressure, condition them to poke or armor through, and then mix it up with NJP, which punishes all sorts of shit.

Also, the priority on jump in attacks is now lower after startup, which means d.2 is sometimes a more valid anti-air than it used to be.

I was even more surprised to discover we can link a raw d.2 into b.1 for a full combo. The following madness ensued:

I'm not claiming this shit will make you the next EVO champ. The damage is slightly suboptimal and it's 19 Startup, but it IS our most plus-on-block normal, and is stupid amounts of fun.

Make sure d3 doesn't hit too late or else the last hit of b121 will whiff.

waaaaaayyy easier Torvex setup
b121xxEXdb2, 4xxbf3 = 30%, less damage but much more consistent and easier to land that the previous combo. Njp after torryuken bumps it to 33

more damage, but only slightly less inconsistent than the first
(ji2)b3xxEXdb2, f3, f2, 4xxbf3 = 38%(39%)

I'm not done testing what I can do, I'll try and update this post as they come to me. @Alien Substance

That's beautiful and I love it. Very good! I can't figure out great damage for meter trades with Vicious. Like anything more than 1 bar doesn't seem worth it. But then again, that isn't a bad thing! Leaves plenty of meter for ex Boss Toss, X-ray, and Breaker.

Vicious just replaces dbf1 with boss toss (bf4)
Havnt actually practiced lackey since the patch, so my combos havnt changed. Ill have to figure out what I can do now for optimal damage.

If you do starter~ pngc,f2,njp,f3,4,exbf2,d3,b121,dbf1 you get:

47% of b121
50% of a s4 punish

Yeah dude, there's another good meterless one if you're cornered. Something like NJP ~ F3 ~ F2 ~ D2 ~ 4 xx DBF1 = 35% for Lackey/Ruthless and NJP ~ F3 ~ F2 ~ D2 ~ 4 xx BF4 = 36% for Vicious. You could probably optimize that a tiny bit more if you wanted with some poke juggles.

I think that the easiest combos now. You can exchange 4 by 2F4 to be easier still if you want.
The damage will not change

So @Doombawkz enlightened me to the fact that boll can combo off ji1. Here's the result, also some corner combos inspired by this trend of d2 in combos.


1) ji1xxroll, d3, f2, 2f4xxroll, d1xxdbf1 = 34%

2) ji1xxroll, d3, f2, njp, f3xxbdf1 = 31%

3) ji1xxroll, d3, f2, ji1xxroll, d3xxdbf1 = 32% (this one's my favourite:cool:)

4) ji1xxroll, d3, f2, d2, f3xxdbf1 = 34%

5) njp, 4xxroll, d3, f2, d2, d1xxdbf1 = 38%

6) njp, 4xxroll, d3, f2, d2, d1xxroll = 36%

6) njp, 4xxroll, d3, f2, d2, f3xxdbf1 = 39%
