So i have a recording on my Xbox files, but idk who to upload do here we go anyways.
So i dropped a combo (b311xxMine) against Subzero and he threw his random Xray out.. The Xray hit me. But the disc snatched him out lol. He left after that match unfortunately.

So this time i bring something a bit more usefull in my opinion 55% combo with Heal. Another poster showed a 60% combo with BnB into ex SS, Jb1, EX disks, 23 grab into trap... but i found this inconsistent in some maps and the timing is a bit more strict, so even in the most minimal of lag its a not go, atleast for me. Managed to perform this one online with no problem whatsoever and the timings seem more leanient.


EDIT Notations and tips:

Bnb (any starter into SS works ) Jf3, Ex Disk, Trapmine, 4xxHeal, Disk, D2, 32grab (or NJK for Safe trap set up)

Tips: when doing the self heal you have to cancel the standing 4, if you just do standing 4 and then heal you wont have time to set up the disk currectly for the d2 into 32grab

So i watched MIT play a few games yesterday on the Yomi stream with predator. he was doing well and pretty much the only string he used in neutral was b22, with either ending in overhead or ex db4 for the mixup, did the tyypical trap combo into db4 setup. b22 seems to be his best pressure string also it destroys backdashes, gets a 50/50 if pred has meter. havent found much uses for b311 most people start off blockin low on predator, and in the corner tho i use f32 for the overhead string. whats the strings most people are using in neutral.

B22 right now is working but a good player has no reason to block high until the very last moment, so its an easy block, its a great string but unless you catch ppl pressing buttons you are not gonna open a good player up with that mix up...great string tho! plus enouth to warrant the pressure it gives... the 32 string is my go to atm. Can be trap cancellable and has nice mind game setups, if you scare ppl enouth with EX trap after the string you can mix up with normal trap and go for another 32 that is almost unblockable since it goes overhead low so fast, it leads to a 26% combo trap set up with safe heal after trap hits... B322 is an odd ball, dont useit often unless i need to hit confirm into EX SS for something. D3 into trap is also great if you think they dont have the rage to punish you and also leads to jumpin low thats pretty hard to block...

I forgot to mention that instead of ending with the 32grab for the dmg you can end it with NJK for safe trap setup Tom showed... dmg is redused to 51% on most Bnb openers but on wakeup if you get a trap hit you get another 5% health into the same setup again

You came up with a very good combo man. Even if the damage gets toned down its still definitely over 30% or maybe even 40%.
And its pretty consistent. But to save meter could you start it with 212? You know Hunter gains almost no meter

Idk if this has been covered but can anyone do the xray brutality consistently and if so how cus it seems lile holding down during the entire xray doesnt cut it
You need to hold down the moment the x-ray hits them. So like before the xray hits hold down. It's kinda awkward but that's how I do it.

im looking into max dmging the 212 starter with just 1 bar as we speak... give me a few mins i think i got something... ill make i vid if i see it warrents it. Thanks man im glad you think so.

On the same line as my previous combo, 42% 1 bar with heal, ending is just like the 55% if your looking to set up Toms 50/50 situation instead of ending with 32grab just do NJK


Notations: J2, 212, Jf3xxEXDisk, Trap mine, s4xxHeal, Disk, D2, 32grab (or NJK for Safe trap Set up).

@14K I haven't touched Predator yet, so can we get notations and such for these combos? I'm gonna compile a list of all the inputs so I'll have them in front of me when I take him to the lab.

Sure you can man, ill edit my 2 vids with the notations and some notes for ppl that are having a hard time with the cancels and timings... ill delete this post in a bit...

Hmmm yeah Wet, i started off with those same set ups, with getting the mid mine a bits out of the map, but heres the problem, i was getting inconsistent results on different maps, Im not 100% sure, but it feels that on some maps, the limitations on the corner are working or standing diferently, so sometimes i would do 32grab so he launches the body into the mine, but depending on your timing the Hurtbox seeker of the mine would pull the character in before the Grab could do dmg... this would be a huge dmg reduction something like 7 to 9 % everytime, thats why i came up with this combo instead, its not dependent on timing of the Trap or inconsistent behavear of the map...

Offline im pretty sure you can optimize your timings so that this is not a factor, so its always viable, but online where Stuff gets wonky, I dunno man =S

I think that might be because you were doing jump forward 3 into EX discs rather than jump back 3 in to discs. Jump back gives you the spacing so that their body doesn't set off the mine until after you throw them out of 32 1+3. Although I haven't tried these on other maps yet, been exclusively training in the jungle because Predator

Nop always Jump Back for that set up, i do Foward jump for this new combo because its easier
