HELP: Buttons not working in-game?

Just curious to see if anyone else is or has had a problem like this. I just started up Injustice and my stick is plugged in, working fine, navigating the menus and I go to practice mode. I select my character and as soon as the game loads up, nothing works except my LT and RT buttons. I switch my stick mode to analog and now the stick works but none of the main buttons work still except the previous mentioned ones.
I googled it up and saw some other people had a similar problem but I didn't see a definitive answer so I'm wondering if anyone here on TYM knows what to do? Should I erase a title update or something so should I just hulk smash this shit and call it a day?

Yeah it sucks bro it has happened to me. Nothing is wrong with your controller. It means your data is lost

It happened to me randomly when I was playing online the other day, you can't input any normals whatsoever. The only thing you can do is switch stance and jump. I went into practice mode and confirmed. The only way to fix this problem is you have to delete your player data, which consists of all your stats win/loss ratio, star labs, arcade ladder, everything. I tried Erasing the title update, deleting the DLC and redownloading them, clear cache, none of that works. The only way to make your injustice work again is by deleting your player data

Happened to me before bro. All I did was reset the system and it worked fine. I don't get how this happens

Seriously? All I did was just restart the system. I guess I got lucky

I remember playing @EMPR_MURK and this happened to him. Like what King said, you have to delete your profile and lose all your stats.

Happened to a friend of mine aswell, his only option was to delete his save and then it worked.

Yup, problem solved thanks to King and the rest of you. Hulk smash will be saved for something that requires it. I deleted my player settings file and yes, I'm back at level 1 but my xbox live record remained the same, so I just don't have my player cards and icons anymore. BIG WHOOP.
