How often do you buy comics?

I'd like to start with the comics and I bought my first one the other day. I find them pretty expensive, so this makes me think: how often do you guys buy comics? I'd love to do it more often, but I finish them pretty quickly and paying so much hurts...

Never. But I've always wanted to get into it! I really hope that WB does a comic run with MKX like they did with Injustice. If that were the case, I'd be 100% down.

I dont buy paper back comics. I download them illegally lol. I will however buy Hardback comics. Like when they take an entire story arc and put it in one book. I do buy those. Last one was Batman Court of Owls. The book store is about a half an hour away from me so I couldn't justify me going there every week just to spend 5 bucks on a comic. If I lived a lot closer to a book store or comic shop I'd probably have a different opinion.

Paper? Maybe once or twice a month and that's the "half off" pile, I buy most of my stuff digitally.

Every Wednesday, when the ones I read release a new issue. Doesn't help that I have two comic stores close to my job and one near my home.

Digital is the way to go. DC has a really good New 52 selection on the Amazon kindle store. It definitely isn't really worth the money to buy hard copies- just given it doesn't take long at all to read through an entire volume of issues.

I actually just got back from the comic book store. The place I go to is not expensive because you can get a free membership that gives you 15% off, or you can get a lifetime membership of one payment for 25% off. Sorry for sounding like an ad right there. I was just trying to say if you look in the right places, you can find really good deals. Comic book covers are too cool for me to ever go digital. I also really like supporting the store I go to.

I personally prefer to collect the individual first print issues of the comics I like. I have a decent collection now, about 6 short boxes full.

I'm one of those super anal people that wants his collection in perfect shape lol if I have an issue with any damage at all I'll buy another of the same issue and use the damaged one as my reading copy.

I have a full run all first print of Injustice! And I'm currently collecting year two as well.

I have basically everything under DC's Vertigo imprint. Lucifer, Hellblazer, Sandman, Preacher, 100 Bullets are all my favorites. For new 52 i only really enjoy Animal Man, Swamp Thing and Aquaman. I'm a collecter so i get all my stuff paper copies.

Tradebacks are way better just for reading. Incidentally, my store is getting a variant cover on Amazing Spiderman #4, so pumped for that!

I buy comics every week, or maybe once every two weeks if I can't find time to buy some that week, and some comics I buy in trade, so I wait on them. Luckily my LCS reverses the comic that I want for me, and hold it. And order different variants months before they come in so I don't have to pay extra like at some shops. Plus I get 25% off just for being a subscriber, and every 100$ I spend I get 10$ off my next purchase, with the 25% added on, and their trades are kind of reasonably priced, so I can get multiples at a time. Sometimes I just go in and buy some old back issues , for 50¢. Just recently bought Spider-Man 121, and all of World War III. Honestly, paperback is better than digital. There's nothing like holding a comic in your hand and reading it. Digital can't compare to that, especially when you see the art up close and your face.

I buy a couple books every week on comixology. But I follow all the story lines two months behind to safe $1 on each comic. It's adds up. Go all digital B)

Maybe its just me...But I don't like digital comics....its not the idea of them, rather I ust like the FEEL of a comic book in my hand.

I am reading suicide squad, injustice..and...ermm...a few MLP comics.

-Now that I see Suicide Squad has those fancy schmancy volume editions with 15 or so comics in one print, I think I might switch to those.

Edit: I buy comics once a month, when the new editions come out.

Nothing wrong with reading MLP comics.

I've been thinking about starting a comic collection. Unfortunately we don't have any comic book stores around here, so I'd probably have to order online. But I'd definitely like to find some rare comics and keep them for a long time.
