So I was in the lab for a day or two with Sub-Zero feeling depress about the tech @AK/RM GamerBlake and @RedRaptor10 found against Sub-Zero,trying to find something positive for him.....well I came up this:

It incorporates @Denzell's X-ray Dash Cancel or XrDC for short.B1 2 on hit causes enough hit-stun on your opponent to be able to dash cancel the X-Ray into another B1 2.Now this is where things get interesting,
as you know a typical Sub-Zero BnB use B1 2 1 as a ender because it causes great hit-stun to the point you can go for a dash-in and 2 1 2 1 2(4) Ice Clone or 2 1 Throw for guarantee damage(whether its Chip damage or not)

For people who would like to see the notation for the combo here you go:

JiP (B1 2, XrDC, JiP,B1 2,Iceball) JiP(B1 2 1) 43% + 8% (Chip Damage = 2 1 2 1 2(4) ender)

JiP (B1 2, XrDC, JiP,B1 2,Iceball) JiP(B1 2 1) 43% + 15%(Chip Damage = 2 1 and Throw Damage)

*Side-notes* If this tech has already been know and used please tell me. Also sorry for the quality of the video....I'm tight on money right now.I don't how viable this tech will, but I'll let The Lin Kuei warriors.

Known and unviable, sub can already do about 32% and 5% guaranteed chip, this is basically throwing away 3 bars for 8-9 % more
Thanks for the input Qwark, just trying to find more good things about Sub-Zero......and I was a little bored today lol

I mean with the x-ray dash cancel.
You know it actually took me a minute or two to figure out what you was saying. lol So let me get this right I should be able to add a third Jip into the combo totaling it to 44% + whatever the ender is?

^^^ this. His meter is so much more valuable than that tiny damage gain. The xray dash cancel was a quick trick to close out a match. Keep digging though. You may find something but this isn't it.

That's the meaning of this tech: to close out that last round........I wouldn't DARE use this in the first round of a match, that's just crazy.

I can see what you mean then. Good if they don't have a breaker coming.
Just look at there meter if they don't have 2 bars your good to go. Another thing before I head off to bed.....this does 48% or more damage ,carries your opponent to corner where Sub-Zero lives or dies by and leaves your opponent in a HKD or keeps them standing with a Ice clone in their face, but the con of this is he waste 3 bars to do so......yea its not viable at all.

Try this tech. After a 22df3 on hit, you double dash and after his second movement sound you hold b2 to initiate his reset. It can be poked out of, but it has to be precise or the b2 will. Once you get the proper double dash to b2 time down, you will land this each and every time. Also works with b12df3.

If you go neutral sub just launches you full screen and you don't freeze.

JiP 214 ~ :x = 50%

its the best option if using an X-ray in open space.

The tech about walking forward was actually known. This is why I would sometimes use 214, it beats walking forward and armor attempts. Walking forward means that you eat an 11% roundhouse kick that sends you across the screen towards the corner. It helps SZ when that happens, no need to be depressed about it.

Glad it was known, I just never saw all that much discussion about it and was surprised.

most likely since your tech them beat up on sub lol
Okaaaaaay, you got me there. LOL.

Its not commonly known and I dont even know if half of the ppl even knew what they did. Sometimes I would get a "wtf? why didnt the clone form there?".. So, its good you made a vid about it.

Dude. Tom. Start playing again.

Just fire the game up like once every month for not even an hour. Just to get re-acquainted with the flow of the game. And if you go to UFGT X, I will pay for your MK 9 entry.

And I will also gladly return to you your "Sub-Zero of America" title that I have been owning and holding on to in your absence.
