The ONLY thing I fear in this MU is level 3 venom. And once in this match anti level 3 venom worked, a one in a million chance the multi hitting hit box on the axe hit him during his charge, other than that i just either block right or run away. ;Anti charge tech that ares has that I found out vs Bipolar is reacting to the start up of charge with an away tele and MB teling in to punish, costs a bar but full slow combo to negate alot of bemon time while damaging is well worth it.

Why is Bane raw charging you when you have a teleport?
That in of itself is a sign of poor MU knowledge on the Bane player's part.

There's times when you make a read Doom. I've hit him plenty when I read a fireball, sword or axe. He's also read the charge and tele punished me. those things happen. Charge isn't the greatest thing in the match, but it's a tool to throw out.

Taking a wager an throwing out a 32 frame move without a lead in just doesn't sound like a good idea at all.
What do you achieve risking 40%+ and losing venom time that you can't from just dashing in?

It's really easy to always sit behind the scenes and nitpick peoples play, but you can't keep pulling the option select of " I'm a bad bane." Because everyone messes up at some point in a match. I'm not saying it's thrown out like crazy, but it's a tool that I've used in the matchup to make Ares players think twice about zoning. It's worked, and it hasn't worked. It's simple to always say it makes no sense, or it's easy to not to. But watching is a lot different then playing.

I've thought since the patch that this is heavily in Ares favor. Ares can just keep Bane out so well, and if Ares hits him with a j2 or a corner combo while he's on debuff the round's basically over. Bane has to know a whole bunch of Ares specific and hard to time oki, and even if he's got that down the guessing game isn't particularly bad for Ares.

Charge can also catch him if he's teleporting backwards. It's kind of a shitty move in this match up, but I feel like you have to use it some.

I'd say Ares favor but Bane can take the match, I had it even but since the corner thing apparently doesn't work I have no issue admitting it's the wrong number. Yea and sometimes I'll react when I see a fireball to charge, because that way at least I'm in his face.

You know what, you're right and I won't debate the point because I'm not a top player like you guys.

Regardless, theres something I want you to look into.

While I do agree, at the same time I can only agree to an extent. Saying "It could make them think twice" works on certain characters.
Raven? Sure, go for gold.
Batgirl? Why not.
WW? If she is chucking tiaras at you, sure then.

But against characters like Ares, Shazam, Zatanna and the like I can't begin to fathom why they would ever think twice about any charge that's farther than half screen. You don't full screen or half screen charge a Lex with mines out, no matter how many times you might make them think you'll still be losing out more often than not. You can make someone think with a lot of things, but hell, charge is a stretch. Saying "It's worked, and it hasn't worked" is very optimistic. "It has worked before, but usually doesn't" seems more accurate. Otherwise you can justify anything.

N.T.C.G.? 90% of the time its failed, but I can catch people sometimes randomly with it. "It's worked, and it hasn't worked".
No one is asking you to be a perfect Bane, and I'm not saying you're a bad Bane for doing it, but that doesn't mean that its a remotely good idea and defending it doesn't make it any less of a wrong idea. Sure it works sometimes, a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. If it quits your fancy, do it, but its not going to do you any favours and that's what I'm trying to say. In MUs with people who have the option to not even be there when Bane is done running, or get a full punish while building free meter because of it, doing a charge isn't something that represent good MU knowledge when you have safer, better options that don't risk half a life bar and you getting put into cooldown with pressure on you just to make the opponent "think twice".
See thing is, you have an Ares player that's even saying use it to keep him honest. It's something that can be used. You can use it on reaction to a fireball and you're in. Unless you're getting in long sets with those characters then you can't really see the whole picture of the matchup. If an Ares knows a charge is coming, he can flowchart against Bane and have a set gameplan. You keep him honest with it. Until now with the fireballs, I haven't once mention full screen, you can stuff alot of ares normals because of slow start up with it. It's the equivalent of saying never oki ever because he has a wakeup teleport. You can throw it in there every now and then to catch him off guard. Apparently we're not supposed to charge, oki, or use any tool we have, so it must be a 9-1.

I fixed myself on this one. I lost it for a moment, and looking back, I overreacted. I'm not that guy anymore, so please.
Theres some things I would like you to look into.

I was talking about it with Max a bit, but I don't want to make it public. You know how I am about stuff.
So I mean... I'd need to take it elsewhere lol.
Honestly might as well post in the general, if it doesn't work it doesn't work. But posting it will help everyone level up. If you want to keep it private it's totally fine though because it's your info. Shoot me a PM?

@Mr Aquaman, you've really gotta cut some of those Godsmacks from your game. On knockdowns they're good and they have their uses on wake up, but throwing them out in neutral is almost always a really bad idea. Especially in the Bane match up where he's just trying to get and there's nothing he would really be doing that would get blown up by the Godsmack. Grr didn't really seem aware that you can neutral jump and punish Godsmack, but there were at least half a dozen Godsmacks that you could have really been blown up for.

I like to keep those unfamilar honest haha, and yeah against bane they are almost useless. But there are a couple options when bane is in level 1 and 2 where a wu gs can counter, but its a guess. You have to absorb the hit and hit him after recovery which is veeeery tricky. MB B3 is the preferred method to dealing with this steroid sum bitch.

This.

Most banes I play catch good read now and again, charge on WU crushes back tele. And part of a risk I like to take because teleing EVERY DAMN TIME ON WU is boring is to do nothing on WU and see if I can make a read and punish. There are alot of mind games. If you see axe charge, or any projectile. from full screen it wont punish dark energy, but it will punish axe. I use axe sparingly on his level 2 late charge because theres a small chance the multi hitting portion of the axe will hit him out of all 3 levels of venom charge. I actually got Grr with it, I cant remember if it was in the MM or in a set we played later. Anyways scores a long hit and KD which buys time till cool down. And 4x4 said it, pray ares doesnt corner combo you in debuff.

PTH vs EMPERORs war?
If I had my troops in their prime the Heroes of Pallet Town would mop the coliseum with emperors bloods to satisfy joaquin phoenix in amazing armor. The thumbs down he would give when I presented him @EMPEROR_OF_OUTWORLD 's dying body will echo throughout the realms and then a red sun will rise the following morning. And I will return to having sex with Xena, Warrior Princess.
