Blue Blurs for Life!
The tension was so thick in the air, you could cut through it with a knife. Exactly 50% of the Top 8 from last month's episode of Level Up Online Warrior made their return in Episode 2, joined by uprising stars including Hitbox Tyrant and Emperor Rebelo. After Rebelo felled MT Rico Suave in Loser's Finals and proceeded to establish a four-win streak against CD Jr, the rise of a new online warrior appeared imminent...but Junior said "NO!" and shut down Rebelo's momentum in a Grand Finals that would be forever branded within our minds!
This tournament had many tales to tell to the KI community, all of which sent viewers' heart rates spiralng out of control. Most of these have come before the beginning of Top 8, as well as after it! Want some examples?
A) Hitbox Tyrant pulling out a pair of clutch victories through Air Counter-Breakers. Unfortunately for him, his bluff failed against Rebelo in their third game.
B) C88 Bison was well on his way to showing Paul B how to play Sabrewulf, until Paul B turned the tables on him.
C) Rebelo practically stole the match from GnarlyFeats NS when it seemed like TJ Combo would drop his final...combo (no pun intended).
Seriously, there are too many to describe here. Just grab some popcorn and watch the archive...ALL of it. It will be worth spending a full evening catching up on the excitement!
Congrautlations to @CD jr for defending his throne in the world of Killer Instinct netcode! Now is not the time to relax, though, because Episode 3 is on the horizon...and as announced on stream, a twist is being thrown in: the winner will receive a bonus in the form of an Ultra Edition package for KI Season 2, free of charge! If you're only buying Season 2's content individually, earning the Ultra Edition will prove convenient to you, so if you decide to participate in Episode 3, you'd best train up!
