Feel the nerf of despair
Someone call the paramedics I think I may have had a heart attack. They completely fixed f12 in piercing. Kitana, who was once the biggest offender by being one of the only characters 2 would completely miss on no matter how you tried to manipulate hurt boxes, eats all 4 hits. Also tested on Raiden, Lao, Jin and Cassie from a meaty f1 post hkd, standing, crouching, stand to crouch and vice versa.

Thanks. I have something else that I can't test on my own. Jax's ex HIGH dash punch has 10 frame startup, after ending combo with B212+4 it's extremely hard to stuff it with F1 (I never succeed). BUT his ex OVERHEAD dash punch has 15 frame startup, it's much easier to stuff with F1 (I did that in real matches).
My question is: Is there a setup that allows Mileena to stuff that 10 frame wakeup easier? Or is it non stuffable?
Jax is considered air borne while doing dash punch. After F1 he will be juggled and if we do F12 combo the next hits whiff. What is the possible combo to do in such situations? F1 roll whiffs too. F1 sai will hit but I don't like that 9% combo when I make a good read about the overhead dash punch
Side note, as far as I know we cannot make the AI to wakeup/reversal with overhead dash punch

Anything around 15f or higher startup can be stuffed with F1 after ending combos with B212+4. Wakeups below 15f can be stuffed with F1 if you use 21U4 as a combo ender. I'm in the middle of making a video showing every armoured move that can be stuffed by F1 but haven't finished recording all the footage. What I can tell you is that Mileena can stuff every armoured move in the game except for:

Goro's EX Punchwalk - 2 hits of armour
Ferra/Torr's Charge (Lackey) - multiple hits of armour
Scorpion's EX Teleport - leaves the screen too fast
Tanya's EX Tonfa Strike - although this might change now since recent patch has it only with one hit of armour.

Might be missing one more but I think that is it.

You can do F12 xx Ex teleckick air sai for 20% or simply go for the restand with F12+4

Jaxs punches can all be stuffed with f1. I'm pretty sure f1 can beat as low as 7 frame start up armored moves with a frame perfect meaty.

Did some number crunching, looks like f3 goes airborne around the 20th frame.

she can blow 6 frame start ups with F1 but the window is very tight

@TakeAChance it's official my #1 variation to use overall (due to the meta of the game) is Ethereal now.

Although it's my personal favorite now that doesn't mean I won't use all the variations. I used all 3 at Summer Jam. Ravenous through Pools, Ethereal for most of my fights, & Piercing vs Tom Brady's Sub Zero. I will be the Mileena specialist that uses all of the character & not just a third of her.
Enjoying every minute of it lol

Could f3 jump over Sub-Zero and Reptile's slides before? I'm guessing it's part of the lowcrush change. I wish it would punish them instead of just jumping over. Either way, if it's new it's a welcome change.

You told me I would end up maining that variation as my number 1 & you were right.

I feel like I have the most freedom to play however I choose when I'm in Ethereal & I'm not forced to play a certain way.
I 100% agree on that. With ethereal, I feel like I have a very fluid gameplan. If I need to play keepaway, I can. If I need to maintain some pressure, I can. If I don't know a matchup or am fighting a new opponent, it's my go-to. It is just so adaptable!

You should. I did just make Top 8 at a stacked tournament with it.
To be fair, that wasn't the variation, that was your playing ability.

There is just something comforting about knowing that at all times you can control the momentum. She has mobility, pressure, blockstring mixups, a high and a low. She can meter build VERY well, and her frames are definitely usable in ethereal.

There is a head on a pole behind you
So guys while I have all this free time & will be quite active in here for awhile is there anything you wanna ask me about Mileena & the strageties that I use & implement.
Well, like Sunfire said, it would be nice to start compiling a list of which variations work best against the rest of the cast. I think your input would be incredibly useful.

If you have any matchup specific tips, it would be much appreciated if you could share and I'll get them added to the Matchup guide I'm (VERY) slowly working on.

Stuff like: Low sai hinders Sub's ability to slide and Ice Clone basically neutralizes EX fade in the corner.

Anything like that for other characters could be beneficial for sure.

I don't think I have any other questions, but your gameplay was definitely eye-opening for me. You utilized a lot of things that my noob-self just didn't even think of. Example: f34 is neutral on block, but I never used it just to check the opponent to both put fear of the overhead in them and see how they would most likely try to block it. Seeing your experienced and high level play is definitely helping me learn.

This next question is a general one for ANYONE (not specifically you): How would you recommend practicing hit confirms? Just going into practice and setting the AI to block random combos and trying to successfully confirm whether to continue or stop?

What even are our hit confirmable starters?

I made the mistake (and bad habit) early on of having a pure mixup mentality. Instead of hit confirming, I learned to predict what the other person will and won't block instead but that causes me tons of missed damage and opportunities when they fail to block something I expected they would and gets me punished with the opposite.

@YOMI RM SaltFace

I know you end in U3 midscreen for the knockdown oki setup, but it hurt me how you would cash out at 23 when you could cash out at 27+ percent.

Even ending your bnb's into B22~Sai for meter build will net you a nasty oki setup with Run Forward Ex Fade. If they wakeup they die. Other than that, why u3 over 21U4 enders?

EDIT: OH. And one thing I feel we are all sleeping on! 4 being changed to 11 frames is actually going to be nice
Indeed I will be using in my arsenal of weapon

Stand 4 being 11 frames means we get to actually punish with it. So in Piercing you get:
4~EX TK~Sai~f2,3~Roll~Sadistics for 40%. Which is the same damage as the f1,2,b4~EX TK combo.
This is good ^

Was 4U3 +2 on block before? After they block it you're in range to get them B1(Piercing) B2(All 3) and F4
