Just noticed this while doing a essay for my Comp II class. At 9:54 Sonya hits Kung Lao with a j.FP then cancels into what looks like a dive kick. It doesn't knockdown like Kung Lao's and it looks like Rufus' in that it comes out fast and if hit can lead to many followups (mix-ups, combo into X-ray, etc.) If anyone saw the X-Play preview you saw how Sonya can combo into her X-ray. A dive kick that doesn't knockdown and is a guaranteed hit confirm? Scary sight indeed. She may be an offensive monster like Rufus, only without the fat. Thoughts?
is not a divekick is her mkdc bike kick if this move land faster than it did in mkdc it will be great but if it has the same speed that it has in mkdc it will not be as usefull that is my guess
Pretty sure it's a dive kick. The angle of the kick, number of hits, and start-up guarantees that it's not a bicycle kick.
Good eye, but need to see more of Sonya in action with this move to pass final judgment on it and her tier no doubt.
yeah, the divekick rocks! a use it a lot for hitconfirm, pressure and throw. for throw i dont hit with the divekick, just near, the enemy think he gets hit by it, but he dont, i throw ^^ sry 4 my english
As an avid SSFIV Cammy user, this was one of the reasons I picked her up. Although unlike that game, it's definitely something that can't be spammed :/ But it's still an excellent move to get around.
