Welcome to the STB official clan page. Here you will learn about what it takes to become a member, our history, and what it is we do.

Recruiting Standards

Joining STB is no easy task. There are a few requirements you must meet to be considered recruitable.

Realizing that we do in fact, play online. We provide levelling up sessions online, as alot of our members have little to no scene or insufficient access to it. this must be accepted if you are to be a member,

Good Standing within the community is a must. Someone who is known for sending hatemail, raging, or just unacceptable behavior will not be considered for STB, and these actions among clan members can result in demotion of belt levels, up to and including removal from clan roster.

You must have some sort of offline aspirations. Choosing to solely play online is not enough to gain membership. Even one tournament a year is fine. With the evolution of fighting games this is a requirement now. Small addition, We will be shifting focus to injustice mainly when it launches, although at this point participation in that is optional, depending on the size of the game and our overall involvement that may change.

History

STB was founded in 2004, making it the longest standing MK team aside from the 88s, and the only clan to consistantly rep online and offline. Members wear their STB tag proudly in tournaments, and on xboxlive. STB flew relatively under the radar, struggling early in clan wars until its breakout upon MK9s release, where several members attended tournaments across North America and earning serveral EVO points during the 2012 season. STB will be present during Injustice's tournament life, and onto MK10.

Belt System

STB recognizes its members through a belt system similiar to that used in Martial arts. Different belt levels can tell you about how long a member has been with STB, and what accomplishments they have achieved under our banner.

Red Belt - The Red Belt will only be assigned to one member, the Leader of the clan. This member has the ability to make changes to any part of the clan as he/she sees fit. Upon retirement, every member of the clan must vote for a new Red Belt. Although highly unlikely, the Red belt has the power to overturn votes by the leadership team.
Black Belt - A senior member of STB, and a member of the leadership team. All changes to STB are voted upon by the leadership team, and changes must reach a majority decision before being put into effect unless the red belt decides otherwise. Changes to the belt system, participating in community events, but most commonly new members, are topics voted upon by the leadership team.

Pink Belt - A lighter shade of red, STB's social butterfly and offline choreographer

Maroon Belt - A unique advisory position. This member can be called upon at any time to assist players in preparing theories for MUs, new tech, or just basic leveling up. At this point, only STB Under the Mayo dawns this belt.

Brown Belt - A proven member of STB. Likely been around for more than one games release, this member has repped STB consistently through his online/offline career and has become an official candidate for black belt status if a black belt should step down.

Green Belt - The last challenge-able belt color. These members have proven that they can hang with the top of the clan. They have proven time and time again their warrior prowess and cunning. Whether placing high offline, winning high profile money matches, being a supreme supporter of STB, or by blowing up 2 black belts, this Belt is the prize for anyone in STB. Holders of this belt can be considered for Brown Belt status.
Purple Belt - A member who has done a considerable amount for the clan since their initiation. Consistent Reppin' in interviews, top 8 placings, and tournament wins as well as consistent tournaments entered will earn you this belt in due time.
Blue Belt - Officially adopted into the STB family. You have shown your willingness by repping us in your tag at a tournament, or attending multiple clan wars. This member is a newer member to STB and has shown the willingness to learn we expect from our family.

White Belt - New recruit, probationary stage. New members are tested as white belts until loyalty has been shown by either entering a larger tournament under the STB tag, multiple clan wars have been entered, or has proved to us over time their want to and loyalty to the family. Entry level belt

Belt promotions are voted upon by leadership by majority vote.

Blue Belt and above can challenge 2 black belts to a FT5 for a belt promotion every 3 months if they lose, and every month if they win.

I've never been part of a clan before and I'd like to start. You guys can take your time with your decision on whether or not I can join.

I'll be updating the main post...... since i forgot it was blown away in the tragic explosion of the forum.

And, in the event that no one within STB wants a converter, I will be happy to take one of them off of your hands. And I WILL pay for mine.

But I will obviously let anyone in STB have first crack at these before I pay for one of these with "straight cash, homie".

Thoughts, best wishes and prayers out to @STB Goldfish today. She needs to go spend time with her mom looking after and taking care of her dying grandfather. Most of us know this is not easy to witness let alone deal with. Thats very nice of you to be there for your mom when she needs you most, and not because you were asked or have to but because you want to. I hope youre ordeal is over as soon as possible. You will be missed in your abscence. Everything will be ok soon. = )

So I think two STB claimed both of Goldy's converters... but I'm in possession of one I do not use aswell. Same as Goldfishes.

Murph, I have a question for you. I want to put myself through training and learn. I want to look at matchups again with Jade. Start from square one, learn what I can and can't do. I want to set it up like an iron man thing. Each day a new character. Would you mind streaming some of this so I can have vids to go back and look upon? You are also welcome to compete .

I'm playing again, mainly for lols. Pretty rusty, but can still compete with everyone here.

Will play anyone any time.
